I have started to track Jones' calorie intake as much as I can.

This morning he is looking for food, smells it and turns away. So he is nauseated. The cerenia should kick in soon. Hopefully he will eat later. DS is home today, will have him check for me.

I have inched his dose up a bit. With the added carbs I wanted to get ahead of the BG's and get some benefit of the extra carbs with weight gain.

Still tracking what food seems to be the big hit. Will see how that goes.

DS does get home earlier in the day as he starts at an obscene hour in the morning. I will talk with him about given him a snack with it in it. I am assuming it should be a small amount of food to ensure he gets all the pro-biotics, That takes care of 1/2 the pouch. SEB shouldn't be given with anything should it?
 
Ok, ordered the new probiotic that Wendy suggested. I have him on colon care @ 80 billion. Hope this works better. Just need to figure out how to get it into him.

1/8 of a sachet. Can I give this all at once? If so, I could make up a tsp of food with his probiotic and have DS give it when home. The thing is he gets home anywhere between +4 to +8. But that shouldn't matter right? Just thinking out loud here. It would have to be something he really likes...

The SEB I could give at +3 to +4 before I go to bed. Re-reading that link that was sent...I just push the "ball" of SEB and AVJ onto the roof of his mouth. His sister will be harder to do that but....

I feel like I have a plan starting to form and Saturday will discuss with my vet about bringing in a HV on his case. The IM was open to it. I just don't want to be dragging him to 3 vets. Maybe I can see about bringing his case back to our vet from the IM...not sure there.
 
I split the probiotic into an AM and a PM amount. It's about 1/32 of a tsp. Supposedly tasteless. Haven't had a complaint about it yet.
 
Ok, so if i give the meds (metro and all of his other cocktail at feeding time AM and PM as that is our routine. Have DS give probiotic whenever he gets home. Then give probiotic at +2 at night and SEB +4....that get everything in.....
 
It can be a real air traffic controller thing trying to coordinate meds and SEB. It is my understanding that SEB should not be given with any meds or other supplements within 2 hours.
