Olive had a box deposit right after breakfast. At +2 she is trying to go again. Has been going on and out of all the boxes, even scratched at the puppy pads around them and gets in box and nothing is coming out. She gets lactulose twice a day. Cisipride twice a day. Had psyllium husk this morning (gets every other day). Will get fluids in a while. Do I go back to miralax instead of husk for a while?

OT. There is a new Kindle Fire 7 coming out in June. I really don't need a new one (current is only about 2 yrs). My first was a 7 after 6 yrs it has trouble charging (port is out of line, thank you kitties). The kindle 8 was the new one out then so I got it. Surprisingly it was much bigger than the 7 and heavier. But I've gotten use to it now. Surprisingly it's not to expensive and I can get $20 off if I trade in current and my first one (still have) so it brings cost to $50. But then I think of Ollie 's meds and their cost. But I am picking up more hrs at work over the summer because of vacations. Oh my such a dilemma.

That is really hard. I'm a read-aholic, so I've always leaned towards treating myself. It's hard when you already have one that works. I currently use a Kindle Fire 8, and I don't think I could go back to the 7 (too small). My 7 worked just fine when the updated 8 came out a year or two ago. The biggest reason I switched was because the 8 has less screen glare than the 7 (I could usually see my face in the 7 and it was almost impossible to read outside, not a problem with the 8). So really what I'm trying to say is go ahead and research which one is better for you based on the specs (I'm not sure what's changing with the new 7). If you think a 7 would fit you better, I think you deserve to treat yourself. You do SO much for Ollie and you deserve some downtime too (when she lets you, haha).

Unfortunately, I don't have any knowledge about miralax vs the husk. Regardless, I hope the straining doesn't continue. Ollie really had a rollarcoaster ride yesterday! I hope she can do some pickling today, but it would be great if she could stay steady while she's at it! I hope you both have a good day Paula!

I can't see either screen if outside. I play bingo and jigsaw puzzle at night so the bigger screen helps with that.

Have you read The Sisterhood Series by Fern Michael's? Secret Female Vigilantes who go after the people that did them wrong. I'm hooked on them. So wish there were real ones. The series ended but readers complained so she continued the series, book 30 comes out December 31. I thought it ended again at book 26. So catching up with the 2 I missed. Best to read in order so you get the backstory of the women. Now they go after others. And there is a spinoff series Men of the Sisterhood but I don't find that as good. I found myself routing for them and on occasion saying that's not enough punishment, do this or that.

Poor Ollie, is she any better? :bighug:

I just downloaded a sample of The Sisterhood. Thanks for the tip

Still trying to go. It seems when I'm looking while she's in box she gets out. Must be shy about going.

Easy reading. Not knowing it was a series I read book 3 first. I just had to go back and read the first two to see what they did. Been reading them since. I actually had them in paperback and the bookstore didn't have the one I was up too. Well I just had to have it that night, what would I have I done while hubby was watching his science show.......I needed my vigilante fix. I went to staples and got my kindle and downloaded all the ones that were out. Got a co-worker reading them It how I knew there were new ones. And got one of the private duty aides reading the books. Co-worker read the first 3 in one night.

I haven't heard of that series! I'm going to check it out!

Re: the kindle I second the motion to go for it! It would be different if you didn’t read often but if you use it all the time then why not!? Especially if you can get a good trade in value :)

I’m going to have to look into the series you recommended as well, I have been in a reading slump lately so it might be just the trick to get back on the wagon :D

Have an awesome day

No deposit yet. I will be out early tomorrow hopefully by +4. Got new debit card so need to activate it, pick up garden soil so I can plant my pickles, dad's banking. If Ollie hasn't gone then maybe vet visit. I gave her a new food tonight so maybe that will do the trick. Although new food has never caused upset with her before. Her urine output is very small today even after fluids.
