Good morning!
AMPS 151 shooting 1F

Boomer left about 1/3 of each dish of food last night and felt the need to get me up at 2:00 to add fowl ball to his +6
Allen ate ok. Wish I could find a food that he can have that he really likes!
So last Thursday we took Allen in for blood work to check his ionized calcium. It involved fasting him for 12 hours. Got a message from Dr Larry last night that the blood sample is no good.....the lab is blaming the courier so presumably it wasn't delivered to the lab quickly enough or possibly wasn't refrigerated when it needed to be. idk but now we have to take Allen back for more b/w. Monday is a holiday here and Tuesday our schedules don't permit us to get Allen into the vet. So instead of fasting him tonight (like usual) in order to give him the Alendronate Sodium (for his calcium) we're going to skip tonight, fast him Tuesday night and then Wednesday around noon he'll get his pill and have b/w done again. Poor Allen.

On Boomer's menu today: AMPS chicken pate, +3 chicken page, +6 wellness chicken, +9 chicken pate

Today on this Bean's schedule.....must do some cleaning around here :p but before that I need to edit a couple of shots from last night's gender reveal session. It was awesome! They had a big black balloon which was covered with question marks, when they popped it a whole bunch of smaller pink balloons and pink confetti came out!

I'm losing track of which photos I've posted here but I don't think I've shared this one of a male Cardinal. This cardinal and his mate are frequent visitors to my backyard and will land on my deck and chirp loudly, asking for peanuts. Which of course I give them.

Poor Allen is right :( Hopefully they don't charge you again for the visit/blood draw. Glad the session went well, thought it sounded like a fun one. Cleaning is on my to-do list also:rolleyes: Enjoy the day and Boomer...green please buddy.

Oh, I would be SO mad about the blood sample going bad...they act as if it's no big deal to fast a cat for 12 hours. UGH!!! And I hear ya on the fuds. I have Zen and Noah on a limited ingredient diet because they have so many sensitivities and while they eat it, the definitely don't love it. SO frustrating....I've said it before, I hate cat food!

Have a great day, Judy!

Well I don't believe it was Dr Larry's fault so I'm not po'd at him but I do believe he will give the lab a piece of his mind!

Poor Allen. I hope everything works out with the next sample. Sorry Boomer woke you up. I hope he heads to the lagoon today. Beautiful picture. I love cardinals. We have lots around here.

Ugh on the repeat BW for poor Allen. I hope they don't charge you again, they sure shouldn't

Beautiful cardinal! Since my BIL passed on Feb. 16th, I am constantly seeing cardinals in my yard, a male and female are often together. Guess they mate for life?

DH accidentally left the door open and Boomer has escaped. I know from experience that he likely won't be back until much later and I'm certainly thankful he wasn't very low at +3. I know the power of the FDMB, please send vines or light or whatever you have to get him back home safe and sound!

Sending now and a protection veil of white light around him. :bighug:

Praying that he is just hiding in the bushes right outside your front door, listening to you calling him, and he is perfectly fine and will come home sooner than you expect.

If he's not used to being outside, he may be really scared and is hiding. I remember one of my cats escaping one night and everyone was trying to help me find him. When all the people finally left, I got a sleeping bag and laid out there and he soon came out of the woods to join me. Another time before that he got out in the evening and everyone was trying to help me find him. Once they were all gone looking in the nearby park, I found him hiding in the bushes right in the front yard that whole time, and since all the other strangers were gone and I was alone he started meowing back to me and came to me. Another time, my cat was way up a tree and all the neighbors were trying to call the cat down. As soon as the neighbors went away, and it was just me there, the cat came down. I'm just saying that maybe pulling up a chair outside the front door and sitting there calmly, maybe eating some tuna? might bring him around.

Does shaking cat treats help, or going outside and opening a fresh can of cat food? Cats don't usually go very far
Tried the treats.
I have alarms on my phone for AMPS, PMPS, +3 +6 and he equates those alarms with food so I tried holding the alarm up at the back door. Nothing.

DH is hovering because he was the one that left the door open....I keep telling him to move away from the door.
Boomer does like Tuna perhaps I should try that!

Put a plate of tuna by the back door.
We're at Boomer's +6.25 now. He last ate at +3 so I'm really hoping the smell draws him in.

Do you have a deck? I am picturing under a deck.

ETA : or a behind a wooden lattice.
yeah he was hiding under the deck at first and then ran into the backyard behind us. But I searched that backyard and there was no sign of him. But then being mostly black he can sit in the shadows and be invisible

Boomer, that's very naughty of you! Time to come back, now, your MamaBean is worried about you.

Judy, I feel for you, my Bengal boy periodically makes "The Great Escape" and I know how very worrying it can be. Prayers that Boomer comes home soon, safe and sound (and looking contrite!). :cat:

Sorry to hear about the screwup on Allen's BW, how annoying!

Gorgeous pic of the cardinal! :bighug:

Sending positive thoughts for Boomer to return home.

Does he enjoy any fast food? Maybe the smell of something he enjoys, placed outside for him, would help him?

You and Boomer are in my thoughts.

Come home Boomer! Your family wants you home.

Arrgggh, Boomer!!!! I keep checking back hoping for a good update.

When my cats decide to do a walkabout, they usually saunter home (trying to look casual) around sundown. I hope it doesn't take that long this time. :(

Last time Boomer escaped it was around midnight or a bit later when he showed up. He hasn't had anything to eat for almost 6 hours and he's used to eating every 3 so I am hoping hunger brings him home sooner than midnight.

Oh, no! Sending out homing beams to Boomer.

Once Gizmo got out when a friend was staying with us and headed out back towards the forrest out back, the friend yelled back into the house "hey, we got a runner on our hands" He made it to the back of the yard and stopped just before the brush. Whew.

Still no Boomer and now it's starting to rain out a bit. We're at +11.5 and it's been 8.5 hours since he's eaten. Very worried.:(

Judy, maybe rain will be helpful in convincing him to come home . Believing and praying he is on his way right now ! Praying peace for your heart too .
