Hello!

Last condo: http://www.felinediabetes.com/FDMB/threads/5-19-billie-pmps-265-3-76-4-65-5-79.138135/

The apartment is 90% packed up, and we are moving tomorrow!! I am excited and overwhelmed. Has anyone seen the Friends episode where Monica moves in with Chandler and the night before, she is freaking out and crying, "I have to live with a boy!!!!" It's a little like that :) Really though, living with DBF will be a lot of fun. I got some Moving Day Eve photos of the girls - Billie is supervising my packing. Brooklyn is saying, "you better not forget my toys!"

Billie is doing well - good appy yesterday and today! I talked to both of her vets and they want to keep her on metronidazole for a full month since it seems to be helping, so I am getting more of that. I mentioned to her regular vet that her BG has been running high and I have been going up with her insulin. He thinks the metronidazole is sugar free, but just to make sure, I am getting some made sugar free at the compounding pharmacy. He said it's possible that she is absorbing her food better if the inflammation is subsiding, and that could be making her BG run higher. Interesting.

Hopefully, the girls won't freak out too much tomorrow. I'm moving them in before anything else gets moved, and they'll be in the bedroom with the couch cushions, a scratching post, toys, blankets, other stuff that smells like home, and food and LB. I also got them some freeze dried shrimp treats and new nanners to enjoy. When everything is settled, they can come out and explore, and I'll have them hang out in another room while we set up the bedroom.

I hope everyone is doing well - sending vines to all the kitties and beans.

Aww, love the kitty photos. Good luck with the move. Hope Billie's tummy issue continues to improve and her BGs start to come down. Oh, no about the (possible) sugar in the metro :nailbiting: Quite a few sugar babies on that med.

Thank you very much!! I should mention that it's the liquid metronidazole - I'm sure the pills are sugar free, but Billie does not do well with pills so I get liquid whenever possible.

A lot of liquid meds have sugar in them, so good call to switch to a compounded one. Hurrah for a good appy! I'm glad the metronidazole is helping.

I LOVE the pictures! Billie is so beautiful, and Brooklyn looks very intent. Your plan for moving them is exactly what I would do. Good luck with all that. How exciting!! :)

what cuties....
I would add a suggestion of maybe emptying a large box right away or taking one.... draping a sheet/ towel something over with the hole sideways i in case
they get stressed.... it gives them a hiding place.
it's what works for mine.... if there is no where to go.... and mine always wants somewhere to go - out of site.

The kitties look so adorable in the pictures. I'm glad Billie is doing better. I hope things go well with the move and the kitties adjust to the new place quickly.

Thank you all for the visits!! @rhiannon and shadow good idea - I will definitely do that. They like their caves.

Poor Brooklyn is totally freaked out now that everything is all over the place in boxes. She just keeps pacing and staring at everything, then staring at me, then pouncing on nothing (ghosts?). Billie is doing well. I was scared that she might be stressed and her BG would be high but this is pretty good for how she has been running lately. She just got her fish oil snack and is chilling on her favorite bookshelf watching Brooklyn patrol the room.

I hope Billie keeps her play routine at the new place. She currently has a routine at night where she chases her toys around in the living room shortly after I turn the lights out for bed. She does it almost every night. She usually does it around the couch and coffee table, and I will have both set up the same way. I hope she still does her thing!
