AMPS is high due to Simon getting MC food last night. He is not wanting to eat much of his regular food so I am giving him things he normally would not eat. More important that he eats! Yesterday, I talked with vet and found out that instead of 5 days on Clavamox, he needs to stay on it for 10 days! I am really depressed because I thought today was his last day on the AB. The vet suggested Convenia, but with Simon's very unstable health right now, I do not even want to go there. I know Convenia is better on the tummy, but if he has a reaction, there is no way to reverse it.
I am picking up the prednisolone this morning and will give Simon his first dose this evening. I really hope it stimulates his appetite. I will adjust insulin once I see what the pattern is going to be when he has been on the pred for a few days and also to se if he tolerates it well.
Overall, Simon is being a real trooper. He still likes to snuggle and even wanted to go outside yesterday and make sure there was no predators on the front lawn! He is my little snuggle bug.
