AMPS 286. Blood ketones 0.9. Weight 10lbs. Weight dropped again, so very low now. Ketones came back up, going to give him another bubble in a bit. BG back up. Had a bout of vomiting last night, still diarrhea but it looks like the frequency has tapered off.

Really need him to turn it around today.
 
PMPS 259. Blood ketones 0.7. Another day of little movement on BG. Ketones didn't drop nearly as much as I would have liked. No vomit during the day but he's been to the box about every 2-3 hours. Threw up the PM pre-meal slippery elm bark. After doing more research today, I'm putting him back on the Metronidazole. We saw improvement after a few days on that, and decline afterwards, and my research showed that's what happens in that case; if the diarrhea responds to it, it'll come back once they come off it. The probiotics haven't seemed to help so I'm stopping those for now and doing only the Metro. Got another vet apt on Friday morning to see if there's anything else we can do to keep his nutrition levels up and ketone levels down while we wait for that and the B12 to kick in.

Looking back at my notes from when we did the first round of metro, it looks like the ketones started dropping day-over-day almost immediately after we started. Took a couple days for the BMs to really start to solidify, but at least his numbers got better pretty quick, so hopefully we see the same again this time.
