First green in 2 weeks last night on the 6th cycle at 11 units. R took him from 406 to 137 during the day, and I think that's part of why he didn't plummet like he usually does when he has a long way to go to get to normal ranges. LC was enough to carry him between meals and BG checks. It was amazing!
I went to Petco 2 nights ago and picked up 4 cans of 11% with a whopping 250 kcal/can! 7 grams total CHO. What I gave him last night has 3.4 gm CHO (7% of 194 kcal) so this is twice that amount, and would only be used on nights that I think he might break a bounce, starting with a high PMPS.
While I wait out the bounce, I will be giving R to keep him under 400, but if he goes 6 cycles without a green, I'm going to wait until 6 cycles have passed without R before increasing. Seems like it takes him to green sometimes, but keeps him from breaking a bounce at other times.
