Luci seems to be adjusting to the dose increase - so not showing much interest in the lagoon yesterday. I'm hoping this is her time to build up her depot??
Next week we start our road trip home - four days on the road - limited ability to test since we'll be driving all day - hotels in the evening will allow me to feed and test - but not much during the day. As I mentioned in an earlier thread I'm very reluctant to get her out of her carrier at rest stops or restaurants (busy areas where there's always a possibility that she might escape!!) So testing frequently if at all is out out the question - for her safety and my sanity. With that in mind - when do I start reducing her dosage - just enough to get her through those 4 days until we get home and are able to test frequently? I just need for her to be stable as far as her BG goes - nothing crazy low. She's not very interested in eating while in the carrier - but will eat once we're in the hotel for the evening - of course after she's inspected the entire room by climbing up on every surface!
I've made a line entry on Luci's SS indicating the day we're scheduled to leave and the duration of our trip. I'm apprehensive about that trip and Luci's well being - just want her to be safe and comfortable for the trip. She's always been a great little traveler.
