Whew!! TGIF....BWIWS!! (but wish it was Saturday!)

Well, I made it through another very long week! I figure I drove another 600 miles this week, but made it to PT twice, got DM to her cardiology and medical supplies appointments and topped it off today with hair appointment and shopping duties completed.

Looking forward to having 2 whole days to do absolutely nothing before it all begins again

Miss China has been a very good kitty....reporting to duty at the lagoon every day and paddling safely around, while still keeping her eyes on all the other kitties!

She did make one quick trip out to visit her shark buddies, but didn't stay long.

Hope you're all having a good Friday and your kitties are feeling great!

Ahhhh shoot....just remembered that tomorrow is shot clinic....the only day in the year that I can get Cleo's shots for $35 instead of $60 (only get her vaccinated so I can get her groomed....nobody will do it unless I have proof of vaccination) :(

Yo China, Another purrfect week in the lagoon. I'm glad I'm getting there more often lately. Let's grill some hotdogs on the beach this weekend.

Hi Chris, I hope that it will be a relaxing weekend and that you won't have a long wait at the shot clinic.

My Saturday has been peaceful. Husband is doing his civil defence thing.
I hope your weekend will be restful Chris. It sounds like a very hectic week.

I always pop by as I await China's new remission.

By the way or should that be BTW , I worked out TGIF but what the heck is BWIWS? Sounds lispy.

But Wish It Was Saturday!

Me too!!...If she can do it once, she can do it again....I just hope she doesn't wait another 5 years!! I wish I could afford to get her teeth checked out and cleaned again...her last dental really helped reduce her need for insulin. Got to get a fundraiser going I guess (when I find the time!)

I just did my first ever fund raiser thing for someone in Canada. She is a member of another community I admin for and she was suddenly struck down very poorly.
The fund raiser lark was all new to me but I started one and it worked well. I was pleased for her as she had been unable to work and no sick pay.

I suppose such fund raiser are OK in a signature?

No, you have to get the webmaster's permission to put a fundraiser link here on the board.

DCIN is a little different....it's not a private fundraiser, is 501c3 and verified that funds are used for the purposes intended

I'll have to post it on Facebook

Ah! All new stuff to me. Had to google 501c3. We have GiveALittle here in NZ I discovered. Same type of thing.

Dentals here are daft money so I feel your pain.

I'll chip in a bit Chris if you don't mind.

China is looking good! I see her insulin needs have increased, though, so I am not surprised to hear she may need a dental. Kudos to you for staying on top of things, Chris, and keeping her numbers where they need to be.

I hope you are able to swing a dental. I'll be watching for a notification if you start a fundraiser.

Chris, we have been thinking about getting Lou a dental, but the vet said she really didn't think he needed it. When China had her first dental, did she have any obvious issues that the vet could see by eye? Part of me just wants to get him a dental and be done with it (and rejoice if it helps lower his numbers), but then part of me is like.... well if he doesn't really need it, I might as well save my money. Haha.

Yes, she had some obvious gingivitis and one tooth that was easy to see needed to come out....but that's a good example of why x-rays are so important too

From just looking, she thought they needed a good cleaning and 1 extraction....after doing x-rays, she ended up extracting 8 teeth that were beyond saving as well as the cleaning
