I haven't posted in a few days. Son (9yo) broke his wrist Sunday so things have been a little weird around here.

I short-dosed Max Saturday night on a knee-jerk reaction. His pmps was 62, and we were leaving, planning to be gone for a few hours. He managed to ride off his depot for another nearly 24 hours and then his numbers started climbing. I imagine yesterday he didn't feel well as amps was 260 and pmps was 429.

Then comes today, where this morning was looking like we were getting back to good numbers. So far so good through pmps, and now we're at 53. I don't think he needs a dose reduction based on the goofy numbers this past week, so I'm feeding 1tsp of 14%. He popped right up on the couch when I went to test him and doesn't seem to be out of it.

Apparently I'll at least be up for another hour or two...

In other news, he hasn't peed in the bathroom in a week. We've started changing the litter in his box over to the paper crumbles/pellets, so maybe that is helping...but up until yesterday I would have said it's because he's finally down in the greens and blues. Maybe it's both. Adequan has been shipped, so that should be here in the next day or so.

And now the booger is sitting on the back of the couch staring at me, and squawking. Apparently he likes that gravy food!

64 @ +5, so he's doing well. I'll still be up for a bit trying to get some things done, but he's perky and getting irritated with the tests, so I'll leave him be.

recommended baby aspirin again for hip arthritis and litterbox issues

I would not give my cat Baby aspirin. Please read this. http://www.vetstreet.com/dr-marty-becker/is-aspirin-safe-for-cats

I've seen Vets recommend things before ,that are not correct. I "Always" research everything before I give it to my cat.
Thanks for the info. I've thought about removing that note, just haven't. We are not using baby aspirin. Since that vet visit, I went back and talked to her about using Adequan instead, which she agreed with. It's on its way, just hasn't arrived yet.
