Another short condo for Trix...her appy seemed like it was a slow start this morning, but that may have been my perception....she ate, but not with the same enthusiasm she'd had for the last few days. But so far her second and third rounds of breffis were pretty stunning, so I guess we still have our happy appy, along with snuggles and general feistiness.

My Dad's endocrinologist appointment was fine yesterday. She said he seems to be good on just the metformin, but that he may need to use the Lantus once he restarts chemo, since those drugs, which will probably include the dexamethasone (a very powerful steroid that makes pred look like baby aspirin) will most likely drive his BGs up. Overall, good news...he's barely diabetic.

At the last minute last evening we took my MIL out for her Mother's Day celebration....after that, I crashed hard on the couch. One of these days I'll catch up on sleep!

Time to get moving for work...I'll try to sneak in a few condo visits as I can! Have a great day, L&LL!

Look at that AMPS :D

The plaque off isn't specifically designed for stomatitis, it is designed for getting plaque off teeth so it might be a great option for Trix if the vet thinks it's ok. I found show dog people that were raving about its effectiveness for softening and removing the plaque from their dogs teeth. As it happens some of the stomatitis peeps have found it does help with the stomatitis even when the kitty has no teeth - at least one bean has been able to stop using steroids and painkillers completely and her kitty's stomatitis is controlled with just the plaque off and lysine. I can't say I understand how it works with or without teeth but as long as it works!

Good news on Dad :)
