Yesterday's Condo

Sorry we're so late, again. Time just gets away from me. Writing from the bowling alley. I decided Cinco was giving me permission to go, so I loaded his bowl up with 8% (which he probably ate all at once) and told him to be good till we get home. He wore his blue suit to the Dunes party today. I guess he had a good time. There was sand in his fur when he got home.

@MollynSkooter, sorry, but we're about 500 miles from San Diego. I thought you live in MN?

@rhiannonandshadow, those leg protectors are interesting. They don't have a size small enough for cats, though. Cinco's hot spot is at the very top of his leg, so I don't think that would cover it, anyway, and the other is on the underside of his flank and his thigh. Last time he had one and went to UCD, they trimmed up all the fur around it and said that would help it heal. I was doing some reading last night and I saw that is recommended on several sites. I hope they will do it again this time.

Minka's appy was crappy all day. She didn't act uncomfortable - her eyes were bright and she was walking with her tail up this morning, but she refused her breakfast and only ate a couple of bites of the second offering. I gave her some SEB and an hour later I got her to eat a little baby food. She was nibbling on her first dinner when we left, so I'm hoping I won't have to get out the Cypro when we get home.

Sasha and Harvey both had good appies today. I shifted our big Papasan around a little, and I guess I got the front edge low enough for Sasha, as she has started spending a lot of time curled up in it again. It was her favorite spot before the amputation, but she hasn't been up there in a while. I finally figured out that she must have been hopping up on the covered litter box that sat next to it, and then into the chair. Well, I changed that to an uncovered box because the opening on the covered one was too high for her, and that's when she quit getting in the chair. She looks so cute in there, a tiny little bundle in that big chair.

I'll try to get my condo up earlier tomorrow, but you know how it goes...

Sending healing vines to all in need and hugs to all their beans. :bighug: Prayers and vines to Amy's DF, Marje's DM, Chris' DM and Elise's DM.

MollynSkooter, sorry, but we're about 500 miles from San Diego. I thought you live in MN?
I am in MN, but I am in San Diego from 06/27 to 07/01 for a work thing......planning on hitting up the San Diego Zoo on that Sunday....I was gonna have ya express mail me some to the hotel and I could heat them up lololol

Hoping all the bubbas feel better tomorrow and Cinco leaves his hot spots alone! Not a bad couple of cycles today especially after the 47 yesterday.....keep the great cycles comin Cinco...I know momma loves em!

I knew that one wouldn't fit but if you knew someone who sewed.... seems like it could be copies easily. might be better than the cone?
there are so many compression type garments these days.... easy to cut one up and custom fit it....

hope he can get shaved soon if that helps.

How nice of Cinco to hand out permission slips for bowling and pretzels tonight!

After all the craziness he's put you through in the last week, I guess he knew he'd better let you get your "fix" tonight....LOL

I want to see a picture of Sasha on her favorite chair. I hope you had fun bowling and Cinco was good while you were out. Appy vines for all.

Thanks for stopping by, Molly, Rhiannon, Chris and Elise.

Cinco was in the lagoon when I got home. Don't know if he was coming or going. I'll be checking him again in about 10 minutes and that may tell me. He's definitely got the summer appy going on. It was fairly warm in the house when we got home, even though we left a couple of windows open upstairs. We've got it cooled down now, so maybe he'll eat a little better.

Minka did not eat the food we left her beyond the little nibbling she was doing when we left. However, she CPCd the meal I gave her when we got home! :) Don't know if it was the SEB or she was just feeling better, but it was a big relief. She hasn't had "enough" food today, but at least she had some, and hopefully will have more tomorrow. I've been offering her a snack when I go to bed in the wee small hours lately. Hopefully tonight she'll be as receptive as she has the past two nights.

@rhiannon and shadow, I'm afraid I don't sew and I don't know anyone that does anymore. I did have a dear friend that could have, and would have helped me out with such a project, but we lost her two years ago. I do appreciate the suggestion and will be looking for something appropriate, now that you've shown me there are such things out there.

I overdid the garlic pretzel bites, as usual. Mmmm. They were good! @MollynSkooter I would be happy to express you some, whether to San Diego or MN, but they probably wouldn't be as good by the time you got them and reheated them. All you need to do is get some of those big pretzels, cut one up in bite-sized pieces, and then dip them in hot oil for about 30 seconds. They need to be just barely golden. Then sprinkle with garlic powder and Lawry's seasoned salt. Yummers!

The bowling alley we go to is very, very old and has been pretty much falling apart for years. A professional bowler named Steve Cook bought it recently and has begun renovations. It's fun watching the changes. Tonight, having been away for three weeks, it was really cool to see what they've done. The bathrooms were completely gutted, and they finally completed them - did a nice job with lovely tile floors and new everything. The ball returns are new and the scoring monitors are state of the art. He still has a lot to do, but there's a professional tournament coming later this month, so I suspect they are putting a rush on the rest of the improvements.

@tiffmaxee, I will try to get a picture of Sasha on the papasan tomorrow (now watch, she won't sit in it again for days!).

On his way out. Well, that's okay. At least he was there!

I think Cinco's feeling a little nauseated. He didn't eat much of his late dinner when we got home, and he only ate a bite or two of what I offered just now. It had FD salmon on it, so that's not normal. He was smacking his lips and turned away. I'm wondering if maybe he ate all that food I left him at one time and now his tummy is telling him it was a bad idea. I gave him some Ondansetron and a good rubdown. Hope that's all it is and he'll feel better in the morning. :nailbiting:

I'm glad Cinco let you get out. I hope his tummy settles down. Sending appy vines for everyone. That's great Sasha is able to get back to her sleeping spot.

Yo, Cinco Cuz Michael here.
Hope your tummy feels better:cat: I like your blue suit. Very nice:cat:

I hope Cinco's belly is feeling better today. I'm glad Minka finally decided to CPC. As we've said before, I swear these cats are trying to kill us...it's a good thing they are so cute and sweet!

I think I may have to try making garlic pretzel bites...you make me drool every time you mention them !

Sending all sorts of appy and happy tummy vines your way....

Sending good tummy vines all around! to you too, Pretzel Fiend!:p

New fashion statement from Cinco!
