What makes Max such a mystery is that often his +2 isn't any indication of anything! He sometimes gets a food spike, but not always. I see one morning, he went from 114 amps to 38 at +3! It looked like he was in the 50's the night before surfing safely but going up until amps. No wonder you don't get to sleep early or know if you can go to spin class or not! :bighug::bighug: I don't know how manage to keep it all together Elise, max is one lucky kitty to have you!!! Hope it all evens out quickly and in the meantime, hope you can get some time for yourself as well! Vines and prayers for your mom!

You hit mt dilemma perfectly. That 38 was a real shocker the other night. Last night he was 223 when I went to bed and 130 at amps. I appreciate you taking the time to try and figure Max out. Ruth. How's Tiger doing? I just checked and what beautiful blue and green surfs. I hope she holds this reducie.

I was just thinking about food bumps. I think Max almost always gets them. It's just sometimes he doesn't eat until +1 or +1.5 and other times he eats at his am/pm tests.

I just read what I feel us a very complete article on diabetes written by Ron Hines DVM. It backs up my theory that the reason Max was not able to go into remission is mostly due to his long term chronic pancreatitis and secondly because he is overweight.

Hello Max- you come back closer to the shore right now!! :nailbiting: Elise it makes sense now that you mention it, there were definitely times when Max wasn't eating at shot time, I remember now!

If you get a chance, can you post a link to that article by Dr. Hines? I have read other articles suggesting along those same lines. I don't expect Tiger will ever go OTJ either, besides pancreatitis she also has IBD. I forget the other ailment that was mentioned.

I had to think about it, Ruth. I haven't been writing down the times I feed him but I guess now that you brought this up I will to find out if what I'm thinking is right. He did eat at PMPS tonight and dropped by +2.5. Thanks.
