Yesterday

Harvey did a lagoon drive-by this morning, but it was too crowded for him, so he's hanging out at water's edge, the better to see all the kitties and make sure there are no shenanigans.

He did not get any SEB last night because he was sleeping so soundly when I went to bed and I just couldn't wake him to shove a pill down his throat! Guess he didn't need it. He ate all his t/f/s meal and was CPC on his breakfast after two passes. He's already polished off one can of FF and is 1/3 of the way through another! I'm liking this!! :woot::woot::woot:

DH woke me when he was leaving to tell me what Harvey's AMPS was, so I changed my alarm to be sure I got a +3. Then I went back to bed for an hour. I don't know why I was so tired, but I really was.

It's going to be a scorcher here today - low 100s! BLEAH!!! :arghh: I really need to get my winter and summer clothes switched out. I've been on the PC for a couple of hours and have gotten nothing else done. I'd better get a move on!

Keeping @Lydia & Rosie & Basil(GA) and family in our thoughts and prayers.

Sending healing vines to all in need and hugs to all their beans. :bighug::bighug::bighug:

I've been thinking about adding SEB too, but trying to figure out a time slot when it's not closer than two hours from any other medications is proving tricky.

Nice flatness Harvey!

100's - you can keep it.

euwww.... hot

i did pick where i live for a reason.. :p

Glad to hear Harvey is eating and sitting on the shore......

me... waiting for new key board after pouring a v8 on mine.... i got letters .... but the top left side is dead....

Thanks for the visits, everyone. For some reason, I'm not getting notifications that people have posted here, even though I checked the box. I also didn't get a tag from this morning. Is something off with the Board today?

Harvey got full mid afternoon, so he didn't finish the second can. He did, however, eat all his dinner just now. :) Check out that PMPS! I was gonna test after +7, because I suspected he was going to double dip, but I never got around to it. At least he picked my second favorite number! ;)

Didn't get the clothes moved, but did get my back exercises and a 500 step walk done. Heel is feeling okay, so I might try an easy mile video tomorrow.

@rhiannon and shadow (GA), the veggie drinks are good for you, but not for your keyboard!!! :joyful: I've been very lucky (anti-jinx) in that I've spilled drinks several times on my desk and have so far always gotten it cleaned up before it dripped onto my keyboard. Still a mess, but less expensive!

I've been thinking about adding SEB too, but trying to figure out a time slot when it's not closer than two hours from any other medications is proving tricky.
That's the problem I have! I'm trying to move his meds a little earlier so that I have the two hour window before bed. It's a work in progress. ;)

fortunately I love tomato soup so the juice is easy for me.
my real problem seems to be not snacking after dinner..... chocolate... ice cream .... etc....
i've been sitting here the last two hours.... wishing to sneak some and so far i've resisted. This is going to be a hard habit for
me to break but of course a good habit for me to develop. I'll blame it on the Borg....

Looks like Harvey wants to be in the lagoon tonight.....

What a great Harvey report!!! Good appy, good numbers....Life is good!!

Those 100's are OK for BG....Not so good for temps!! Hope your A/C is working well...sounds like you're going to need it!

I used to have one of those maintenance contracts with another company that eventually went out of business so I was happy to hear this new company had them available.....It's a lot cheaper in the long run to have them come check twice a year...and if something does break, we get "preferential treatment" over the people who have stuff break and don't have the contracts...plus we don't have to pay the charge just to have them come see what's broke, it includes up to 3 hours labor and 10% off parts. It's really a good deal....Keep on Mark about it!

Yo Harvey!!! Meet me out by da rope swing! I is feeling like doing some swinging tonight...with da great big SPLASH!!

Yo Deputy Harvey, Starting the night shift in good numbers. Surf safe and keep an eye on the kitties. I'll be back in the lagoon a bit later. Someone's gotta watch the lagoon while you and Deputy China are swinging on the rope!

Tricia, how can you stand living in that heat?? Good luck with your 1-mile walk.

That is a lovely PMPS:D:D:D. Paws crossed on a nice night time surf!! And I like the fuds news, too.

Yuk on the 100s...the Canadian in me had to find a converter:p. Around 38C, you can keep it! Blech. And it's only June...I so don't envy you. Hope you can keep cool:cool::cool:

Thanks for the visits, everyone. After two servings of dinner, Harvey decided he was done eating. Then I got that +3.25 . I tried another flavor, but he really wasn't interested. So out came the tummy meds. Lucky for us he didn't get any this morning, so it didn't matter what time he got them tonight. I'm hoping they kick in before I have to resort to syrup or HC food.

@Ella & Rusty & Stu(GA), luckily where we live we get breaks in between heat spells when the "Delta Breeze" kicks in and it gets much more comfortable, especially at night. Otherwise I run up the electric bill running the A/C. I do hate it, but I spent 16 years - 4th grade through college and 3 years after that - in Tucson, and it gets alot hotter there, for longer, with no breaks. This is much better. When we leave CA (and we will one day), I hope to live someplace where it doesn't get this hot. Not sure where that will be - maybe up in the mountains.

@Chris & China, we have a whole house warranty, which includes the A/C, so that covers any repairs, etc., but I was surprised that it didn't include, or ever require, regular maintenance.

@rhiannon and shadow (GA), I love V-8 juice. I can't have it on my current eating plan, but it has always been a go-to for me when dieting. I don't like tomato soup for some reason (love tomato sauce on paste, etc.). Not snacking after dinner is hard for me, too, but I prefer salty over sweet (miss my popcorn!!). So is not having my evening cocktail - which I usually sip on for a couple of hours. I miss my diet soda and my wine with dinner. I'm surprised I don't miss pasta more. 10 more days till I can start adding back stuff! I'll probably start with wine. ;) Especially if Harvey's still being difficult. :p

Whoa Harvey, slow it down buddy! No need to get overenthusiastic about carbs just because mama bean gave you tummy meds!

I hope he comes back up quickly and stops the dramatic diving. :nailbiting:

Congrats on making it 20 days! Take it easy on your foot, don't push it to do too much too soon. I don't know how the cortisone shots work, hopefully you're fixed for good, but I know from experience when I push too fast too soon, I end up injuring myself again.

Shane

Thanks, Shane. I am trying to take it slowly. Hence the 5 minute walks. The one mile is about 20 minutes, and I'll stop if it starts to hurt too much.

The 8% is definitely helping Harvey get away from the sharks.

Okay, now that just about everyone has gone to bed, I'm wondering if I should take this reduction? I keep forgetting that Harvey earns them by going under 50 - I was so used to Cinco being a long term diabetic for years that I still can't get my brain to remember that. This is the 9th cycle since his last reduction. We probably should take it, shouldn't we? Decisions, decisions. o_O
