Happy first day of summer everyone!!
China spent the morning in the lagoon, and when I went to look for her, she was gone! Something tells me that the LL&L bus must have shown up to pick up kitties for the Strawberry Full Moon party tonight!
I am missing one of my best casserole dishes too so if anybody see's a square white serving dish, would you make sure it comes home with China??
Had some big excitement around here this morning too...a mouse in the house!! Saw the civvies acting strange and went to check out what was so interesting. A teeny tiny little mouse was crammed next to a trash can and holding very very still (smart mouse!) Poor little thing! He couldn't have been more than 1 1/2" long and that included his tail so I shooed the kitties off, grabbed a box and put it down next to him and "shook" the trash can a little and he darted into the box and I took him outside and freed him. I don't have anything against mice as long as they stay out where they belong! I'm not very popular with the civvies though!
In other news, a suspicious package arrived in the mail and guess what it contained?? China's strawberry hat that got swiped at last years Strawberry Full Moon party!! According to the story I got told last year, some of the other kitties got rowdy and threw drinks on it and while China was being a good responsible kitty (washing it out and leaving it out to dry) it disappeared....later there was a lot of chatter about who ended up with it but we could never prove it (@rhiannon and shadow (GA) )
Anyway, she's happy as she can be to have it back and before she left for the lagoon this morning, I saw that she had it with her! Hopefully she'll be able to keep track of it this year!!

Harvey must have slipped into the house right before we got home, as his paws were damp and he smells of catnip and strawberries.
