He is home!!!!

They said he has been eating decently today.

Vet has been giving 1u of Lantus (I can live with that.) The tech said the last dose was around 7 (which actually would have been shot time). After all this blows over, I may ask them to send over his numbers... but I was too eager to get him home to ask tonight.

The ER vet wants me to keep doing 1u as long as he eats and the re-evaluate Monday. I WILL play it safe. I don't want to end up bringing him back. Twice was enough for me.

Unless he eagerly eats brekkie in the AM, I'll be skipping tomorrow morning's shot. I want to really make sure he is eating.

I got 2 cans of A/D in case, but I hope he doesn't need them.

I will test him around 1 am (should be able the +6) just to see where he is at, but othwr than that, I'm leaving him a lone. He has been through a lot this week and I want him to relax (and let his poor little ears heal a little!!!)

Thank you all for your continued support anf vines. Fingers crossed that he is finally over the major hurdle and is on his way to kicking pancreatitis in the behind!

Oh, Mandy! Did I miss something about Tanner? :( I am so sorry! :bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug:
I didn't post about Tanner. I didn't think it would be appropriate with him not being a diabetic cat in this group. I think it was a combination of it being a really bad pancreatitic flare, kidney failure, and finally upper respiratory issues. He went downhill really fast and I had to let him go. :(:(

Mandy, I'm soooooooooo sorry...
and do post about Tanner if you wish. He's part of your family and you're part of ours.

Yay for Gordy eating and being home. Hopefully now his appy will come back. Sending a bunch of good appy vines.

Oh, Mandy, I'm so sorry! Of course you can post here about Tanner. I was the poster child for posting about civvies, and no one ever said one word to me that I shouldn't. We love ALL cats here - diabetic or not - and they are all family! Many hugs to you at this sad time. :bighug:
