I know :-| should have made sure I tested Nelli more last night :banghead:
Tested a +3 this morning (usually wait until +4.5) because she was acting a little lethargic again and didn’t eat her AM meal. When I tested 43 I immediately put together high carb Farmina Digest kibbles with honey drizzled all over and a little bit of raw Darwin lamb. She ate the kibbles and honey wasn’t much interested In anything else. I am back and forth with customers this morning but able to test Nelli every 30 minutes- will test before I fly out the door again here shortly :nailbiting:

Cannot get Nelli to eat... much. Am scared. Cracked open can FF delight with cheddar. Squeezed gravy, tried to get her to eat. Not interested. Dressed with Farmina kibbles- Ate a few small bites. Tried hand feeding. Worked slightly. It’s not like she is full.
Dumped; covered FF with Farmina kibbles. She just got up walked over and ate a couple morsels then walked away.
She is up to 54. Still has not eaten much of anything today. Don’t know what to do. Worried.
Am going to test again at +5

Do you have maple syrup?

Have to leave for work. Ollie doesn't eat well when low but maple syrup on smidge of food she will eat. It's enough to get her started. Sometimes it's takes a couple of smudges until the food kicks in. Maple syrup wears off quickly though.

Is it safe for Nelli to surf 45-55?
In the past when Nelli has dipped down into hypo numbers she was very very hungry. Not the case whatsoever today :( :nailbiting:

I personally would like to see her up a bit more. As long as she isn't dropping. Keep trying tiny bits of food.

Its good to have at least 2 choices.

Olive did this a few weeks back took forever to get her up but as long as she wasnt dropping anymore we were okay. I just kept testing and putting food in front of her.

She could be full from karo if you used a lot.

Karo makes olive sick. Pure Maple syrup is lighter on the stomach, easier to wipe on gums. Only a few drops are needed. Its sugar with maple flavor. Works super fast but wears off super fast. Its something we always have in house and use. Honey and karo we never use so it turns rancid in our house.

Thanks @Olive & Paula. I’ll go out and buy Maple syrup. I was giving her local raw honey, not karo- don’t know if this matters

I am inclined to NS (coming up in one hour), if Nelli will not eat PM meal. Inclined b/c Nelli has eaten very little food today. Not interested in eating.
She’s gone through two NS and one reduction in 7 days-
At +10.3 I offered her food (she likes)- no interest :(
Need thoughts and advice (please) from a veteran member :bighug:.
Thank you, we appreciate your help :bighug: :cat:

Nelli is looking good. How are you Krystina? It's scary, but you did everything right. Congrats on reduction.

Did you get the maple syrup? The reasons I prefer it is we always have open bottle in our fridge for French toast so it never goes bad; IMO it works faster than honey or karo when rubbed on gums (but no proof); not heavy on stomach; a couple of drops at a time is usually all that's needed; few drops on the gravy, and kitty gets the carbs in them also. Ollie doesn't get sick from it like she does honey, when given a choice she licks the maple syrup and leaves the honey.

I hope Nelli will keep eating for you tonight. I'd make sure and get a +1 and a +2 just to be safe because of the depot. :bighug::bighug:
Am only now getting back on board- finished work, preparing for early morning. Did usual +3ish. We are ok (relatively so?) @+3.15, 78 :).
Ni ni,
:cat: & :)

You're a wonderful Mom Krystina! :bighug:
If you can, give her a +1 test just to make sure she's going up, as her PMPS was a little lower than her +10!
I try to always be on the safe side....
@Ti-Mousse ...
Thanks for your concern Lyane :bighug:
*I agree that getting a +1 would have been very important when you don’t have much data to look at- Very important.
I have a lot of data on Nelli, know that she does not onset until around +3.
89 +10.5, is same as PMPS 88... (88 +10.5 would be same as PMPS 89) keeping in mind meter variation-
Thank you much for your interest and concern for Nelli :cat: :) :bighug: Muah.

Very few of us have data at +1 or +2 and you don't have any, like all of us!
My concern was that, as she was going down from +10 to PMPS, she could have still gone down after insulin even with food! and this could have been a big problem!
That's why I was concerned about no data after insulin in the presen! case!!

I understand your concern- Thanks.
I wasn’t worried. Nelli was not going down from +10 to PMPS. She was staying the same.
-because she had stayed the same from +10.5 to PMPS, ate and got some insulin... (Nelli doesn’t onest until +2 (plus)...). I did what I did- waited to test a before bed test. This based upon months of data I have on Nelli. Without this we cannot safely risk, skipping a +1 and a +2.
ECID- you are correct to raise concern :bighug:
Thanks again for your concern- point well made! :bighug:
