ALPHA TRAK 2 PET METER Reads higher than human meter

Tuxie had a great run yesterday. I still don't know if it is from the dose increase or from using a fresh insulin the day before (although the old one was only about 6 weeks old) Whatever it is from I will take it.

Last night at +7 his reading was 106. There was no way I could stay up any longer so I gave him a tsp of 14% and a few drops of syrup in his food. I was totally expecting either a high bounce from yesterday or his usual higher AMPS number, but was very surprised to see a blue to start the day. Fingers crossed for a blue day with no surprises.

Thanks! Tuxie sure is getting food spikes though. His +2 went up to 21.6 / 389 US. And I had retested at AMPS to make sure the number was right. It is strange but the last few days he has had much higher food spikes than usual. And his nadir is coming later and later than before and onset is also later. Something seems to be changing...I hope it is all for the good.

Now we need to get Frankie staying in the blues. :)

He's doing a bit of a bounce but only to pinks today - 20.8 (374). I think this is progress.
 
Tuxie had his nice run yesterday, started off nice this morning and then has decided to stay higher today, which is nice..I can go and do some errands :)
 
Tuxie started out so good after a decent day yesterday, but has just sort of fizzled out. I don't know if this is a lower bounce or just Tuxie making me crazy??
