Good Morning, Everyone,

Rusty has his best AMPS number in over a week, so maybe he is ready to settle down in his old groove (or one of them). He had a good night and ate all of his nighttime food. We all had a stressful evening, however. Edward's old (but easy for him to use) computer keyboard went haywire and we spent several hours trying to get it to work properly. In the end I decided to see if the small, Mac wireless keyboard that came with the computer worked, and it works perfectly. The only problem is that Edward, who has low vision and types by feel, can't use it easily. He'll struggle with it for a few days until the full-size keyboard I just ordered from Apple arrives. The upshot of the evening was that poor Rusty waited on the couch for us until 11 p.m. He had to eat his dinner by himself (obviously a hardship). So I sat with him on the couch for a half hour until he became content.

More rain. Good thing I cancelled the bike ride!

Everyone have a good day,

Ella & Rusty

Nice start for Rusty...yep, it is time to get back to business, LagoonMeister!! Bummer on the keyboard...hopefully the new one will arrive more quickly than you expect. I agree...as much as I love riding, riding in the rain isn't much fun...have a great day despite the rain, Ella!

Poor Rusty, neglected and abused. :p Which I don't believe for a nanosecond. At least Edward has something that works, ugh on the tech problem. Too bad about the cancelled ride. Your lakes must be overflowing.

I can picture poor Rusty, starving to death and waiting patiently on the couch. And then having to eat alone!! Oh, the shame of it all :p
Hope Edward`s new keyboard arrives soon.
Have a great day, Ella, hoping the rain stops so you can get out on your bike!

Sometime rain days give us the chance to get things done, take advantage. I'm blaming the drought for not keeping me in the house to get things sorted out.:p:p

Despite the rain I didn't get much accomplished today. We had violent thunderstorms for about 2 hours this afternoon, so our computers were off. Edward is starting to really like his Mac little keyboard. He's doing well on it. When the full-size one comes on Thursday he'll take to it easily.

Rusty spent some time outdoors after lunch, when there was a brief period of sunshine. Interesting that his bgs climbed again when they would typically go down. Now (+9.5) they are headed down again. I'm going to have to make a dose change, I think, and it will be an increase. But I'm going to hold off until next week, when we will be at camp. This weekend will be deja-vu for Rusty. We are going to a memorial lunch for my oldest friend on Saturday. It's a long drive (about 5 hours: to coastal New Hampshire) and we plan to go and return on the same day. Fortuitously, Rusty's Foster Mamabean, Claudia (cjleo), is going to Ontario to get insulin for her diabetic foster kitties. She will visit us on Friday, stay over, and take care of Rusty on Saturday (and maybe Sunday morning if we fade and can't drive home Saturday afternoon/evening). This will be a wonderful arrangement. We'll get to see Claudia again, I won't have to give a "fur shot" on Saturday evening, and Rusty won't have to be alone for a long time and will get his shot AND his meals.

Time for the happy hour. bbl,

Ella & Rusty

Nice start for Rusty. Poor kitty having to be by himself so long on the couch. I hope the keyboard arrives quickly.

Rusty and Neko keep on taking the wrong turn to the lagoon. Might be the same result for both of them.

Too bad on the rain canceling the bike ride. Nothing wrong with a paddle in the rain, but not with that lightning!

It's great that Claudia could visit and help with Rusty. I'm sure he'll be a purrfect host.

Rusty, time to get off the couch and head for the lagoon. Your duties await you. China has been setting a very poor example for the other kitties by heading out too far and not wanting to come in. Cinco has been lounging on the beach. We need you to get in there and whip them into shape!

Sorry about the bike ride. Sure wish you could send that rain down here!

How lucky that Claudia's trip coincides so nicely with yours. I'm sure Rusty will enjoy visiting with her, and she with him. And you can relax, knowing he's in excellent hands. How perfect, but sorry for the reason for your trip.

Ride the green wave Rusty! :D

We are passing Zener's green board shorts along to you, they are used but weren't worn all that much! ;)

Morning Ella :coffee::coffee::coffee:

I concur! So nice when travel plans, and stayovers all work out. Hooray!

nice to see Rusty made it to the lagoon last night. YAY! Guess those dosecrease threats worked. :)

Have the best today!
