148 at +6. I was up all night for work and was hoping to get some sleep from +7 or +8 until PMPS. Looks like that's not going to happen now... and there's more overnight work tonight. I don't want to feed until he's right around 100, and if he keeps dropping at the same rate, he'll be in the 90s by +8. Since that's his usual nadir, he might not go much lower... but the only way I can get some sleep and still be able to monitor is if I test at +7, feed regardless of the number, take meds, and set my alarm for a +9.

I'm going to get a +7 in a few minutes and feed MC if it's 120 or lower. It might keep him from reaching green, but I need to make sure he'll be safe between +7 and +9. If I decide to skip sleep to stay up and test, I won't have another chance to sleep until 4 AM tomorrow.

97 at +7, so he's dropping even faster now, and sleep is no longer an option. Gave 3 tsp MC 13% (both meat and gravy), testing again at +7.5. If by some miracle it slows him down enough for me to give more of the same and go to sleep, that would be awesome... but I'm not counting on it. Going back down to 12.25 units next cycle.

I don't know if my alarm didn't go off, or if I just slept right through it, but +7.5 is the last check I got until PMPS and I have no idea how low he went after that. :banghead: The more sleep I lose, the more likely I am to sleep through an alarm, so it becomes something of a catch-22 in this situation... If I go to sleep when sleep-deprived, there's a chance I'll miss the alarm, but if I stay up to monitor, then I'll be even more likely to sleep through the next one when I finally get a chance to sleep. Fortunately, this is the last night of overnight work until next week. PMPS was 98 and we're back down to 12.25 units.

I know the feeling, sleep... couch, what alarm.....:)

Chino has his usual timing for going green. Nice to see he can do it, but he must have known you wanted to sleep today.

If you use flea collars and have more than one cat, how do you keep them from licking each other's flea collars when they groom each other?

I never used flea collars. I used the drops you can put on their fur. Then I removed the carpet from my house - and the flea problem went away.

I used the drops, but saw that they were still scratching a week later so I got the collars. Only the bedroom has carpet and the cats aren't allowed in there, so I'm not sure where they're lurking =/
