Yesterday's Condo

Good morning.
Well 48 hours since no insulin. Not sure what that 46 was this morning. I didn't think she could go hypo without insulin for 48 hours and that was only 3 drops. I fed her but she was not too interested in food and opened 3 cans. Boy they devour something one day and the next just walks away from. The food will be a challenge finding what she will eat and what's good for her.

On schedule to test and feed every 4 hours to see how she goes. Paws crossed.
Last night she wanted up on my lap. Was so sweet.

Well, that’s an interesting number. Did you retest?

She’s not quite responding to the food trial, yet, as we had all hoped but we still need to give her some time. This is the sixth cycle since the 0.25u and only the third since her last insulin.

Keeping all paws crossed!

 

I gave her some food and retested 1.5 hours after and she was high. Maybe it was wrong. She gave me a hard time this morning. Hoping to be home within an hour so I can do my afternoon test but she is being very picky with the food today so maybe that's why numbers are not as great as we hoped.

Numbers not looking good. I am sitting on my hands and she is refusing all of the foods. I have 6 different cans open and have no idea what to give her or entice her to eat. So
I now I need to worry about no insulin and no food = dka and haven't been able to check for ketones.
Any food suggestions? I am at a loss.

 

Baby food? Will she even eat what she used to eat? Roasted chicken?

Will she eat anything with a topper? Tobey’s least favorite raw is chicken but if I put freeze dried chicken “dust” on it, he eats it.
