Stellar day for Jenks so far.

I was a little concerned about that 56, so I offered him some LC food. That looks like it kept him surfing.

The real question is - if he hangs out here, what will the night cycle look like if I stick with the full 11U dose?

I'm afraid the answer is - we don't really know.

On the one hand, he could dive and make it a long night. On the other, past experience has borne out that when he does these OH-vacation drops and locks into the 60s, he just sticks there and can be flat as a pancake.

@CassAndGordy - More or less the same. From what I've read, it can take weeks for these issues to resolve themselves, so I'm not really sure how much I can expect to see in only four days. In that time though, I believe that he's carrying it higher, he's able to hold it up while using the litterbox, and I see small movements even out of the very tip from time to time (especially when he's in a happy mood like when he's getting brushed).

I'll call the vet on Wednesday and see what his opinion is. Specifically, is there even anything he can do with an office visit for something like this, or is this just a home monitoring situation regardless...

I saw improvement in Gordy within a few days, but it sounds like they hurt their tails in different spots. As long as his litterbox habits are in function, odds are he'll be fine. But I agree a call to vet may be worth. (Piece of mind.)

Jenks is up a little at PMPS. It was a really beautiful AM cycle.

I don't know if this is a mistake or not, but I went with my gut and dropped the dose again to 10U tonight. If he's shifting gears into one of these phases where he's spending most of his time in the low 50s and 60s, I'd like to get out in front of it instead of chasing it like I usually do. I've never really made whole unit dose changes before, so it will be interesting to see how he responds. If the numbers start to drift at all, I can always take him right back up.

@CassAndGordy - Thanks for sharing your experience with tail issues :) I hope Jenks' recovery is as fast as Gordy's.

Look at Jenks!!! Way to go, buddy!!!

Keep on surfing those pretty numbers!!!

It really sounds like a nerve problem from some injury....and nerves take longer to regenerate than anything else. Hopefully he'll be able to regain full use of his tail, but it sounds like he's able to get it out of the way in the litterbox and it's not bothering him otherwise and that's the most important thing.

@Chris & China - That's why I'm thinking of getting another bottle of Zobaline. Methyl-B12 is good for healing nerves. It certainly can't hurt to cover all the bases.

Also hope I don't foul up those pretty numbers by dropping the dose again so soon.
