Well, we are back from the vet and such! He was diagnosed with a yeast infection and got some Oti-pack E put in. Smells like oil, ick. But should clear it within 2 weeks. No sedation and they actually did everything in front of me, bite gloves and all LOL. (Normally they take him to the back in case they need to knock him out.) Glad we went because the vet said one side was pretty bad and was probably painful.

Hopefully we can get back to consistent blue numbers after this.

I told them I'd see them next for Raptor  these cats will be the death of me.

It’s good that you got to the bottom of it! Gordy has a pretty nice slide today despite his infection! Like you said hopefully once the meds have done their work he will be back to normal.

Future vetty vines for Raptor, hopefully everything is ok!

The oti-pak worked great for Whispy, he had a horrible yeast infection right after we adopted him and my vet (thankfully) refuses to use Tresaderm on a diabetic unless there are absolutely no other options. The outside of Whispy's ears and the fur on the side of his face was a greasy mess for a while since that stuff kind of oozes out, so I got some pet safe wipes at the store and tried to keep his fur somewhat clean so that he wouldn't ingest too much as he showered.

And Whispy had it in both ears, so I could also tell that it affected his hearing. Not sure if Gordy got the Oti-pak in both ears or just one, but I thought I'd mention it.

Good luck with it and I hope he feels better soon!
