Happy 4th of July everyone!!

Looks like Deputy China's giving more surfing lessons today!! Just wish she'd surf a little closer to shore!

I guess it's a good thing she "taught" me years ago that she does just fine sitting right on that 50 line...I suppose I really shouldn't worry since she's always done it!

I heard her talking with LagoonMeister Rusty earlier....something about bringing her stash of fireworks to his house and setting them off tonight for all the other kitties. I believe her exact words were "anything those hoomins can do, we kitties can do better", so it should be a good show!!

She's going to be the MC and coordinate the music to the fireworks and Deputy Harvey is going to be the official "launch supervisor" and be chief in charge of lighting them all....and running!!

Hope everyone can come!! Rusty's hoomins are gone, so we have free access to all the fuds in the kitchen too!!

That might not end well. He doesn't run as fast as he used to! :eek: Of course, he might if his tail catches fire! :p

In the meantime, they're working on their tandem surfing, although Harvey's just a little closer to shore than China. Rusty sure has some hard working deputies!

Way to keep the bean attentive, China. Oh yeah, she claims she's cool with the low 50's surf....yeah, right. No matter how often you float on those waves, it does catch the bean's eye!

Looks like it may be an interesting (and long) night....but then again, she could do what she did last night and head up!!

Those fireworks looks great. I guess Smokey will watch from the house, if he can stay awake. I think Smokey needs private lessons.
 
Nice fireworks! The 50 yard line sitting always makes me a bit on edge. Not that I don't think I can reel him back in but, just because I feel like I have to constantly test to make sure he didn't go under.

Yo, Deputy China and Deputy Harvey, can those fireworks be pretty but silent?
