I’m certain it was a furshot because his fur was very wet after. It’s my fault for shooting in the dark and also forgetting to “lube” the needle before I drew up insulin. Lol!!!! Sometimes the needle is sticky so I move the plunger up and down before I fill it with insulin so that I can check for back pressure before I shoot. But I forgot to do it today.

Oh well. I hope something went in so Ming doesn’t stay high all day.

I had planned for my coworker to come over and draw blood from Ming to save him a trip to the vet. But the little bugger was very bad at home! We weren’t able to get enough blood so I’ll be bringing Ming to work next week.

And this is for the best. I don’t want to submit a blood sample on a cycle where his BSL are high. How embarrassing! Haha!!

PMPS = 454

I inserted the needle, pulled back, and got back pressure and shot. Then I went to smell the site and smelled Levemir. :arghh::arghh:

I hope the smell is maybe from this morning.... (I shot the same area) or from excess on the needle or I don't know. We'll know in 5 hours :D
