Looks like Jenks is back on the rails. What a relief! I don't want to get too excited though, lest I jinx it. But I'm still going to be a little excited because this was an awesome cycle and means he was in the lagoon for at least 12 hours again. Hope we can get another good streak going!

As for the tail, I think it's continuing to get better with each day. Jenks is weird and has never carried his tail straight up and down, so out and away from his body means that he's pretty much back to normal in that respect. I also noticed today that the very end of the tail is curled up toward the sky when he walks, which means he is holding every part of it up now. Additionally, I noticed several times today that he's moving the entire tail. Whether an intermittent swish, or full thump, or just flicking the tip, it's obvious to me that he's regaining control over the whole thing.

At this point, I think time is all he needs to recover. We're still being gentle with him in the meantime, and are supplementing him with Zobaline to help any nerve healing if that was the cause, and we're optimistic that he'll be back to normal as quickly as possible.

Oh dear, Jenks is swimming with the sharks and it's only the first quarter of the cycle.

I fed early, so hopefully the food will bring him back up and stabilize his numbers. Otherwise, there's a lot of night still ahead....

I hope Jenks comes up a little and surfs safely for you. I'm glad his tail is getting better. Sending prayers.
