Supposed to rain today. Having a lazy day, reading with my Kitties.

Decided Peggy Sue will get the second round of Chemo today. She's still eating ,& just being my Peggy Sue. Which is good enough! A little slower & she sleeps most of the day but that's OK, so do Ravan & Alice.

As long as she's hanging in there,so will I. I won't give up on her.:) I think her problems bother me more than they do her! I'll do the best I can to give her a bit more time & make her as Happy as I can!

Peggy Sue did great! I got there at 2pm they took her right away. I asked the Dr if they could please give her less anesthesia because last time it wiped her out for over 24 hours.
I sat down to wait & 20 mins later they brought her out to me! At first I was afraid something was wrong. The Tech said they gave her very little anesthesia & she did just fine! ( last time they pulled a molar & did the chemo shots too.) Just the injections this time.

Peggy Sue was sitting up in her carrier & looking around. Last time she was shaking for 2 hours from the anesthesia. What a relief! :)

I didn't get a chance to ask my vet what he thought so far? Is the tumor shrinking? or is it too soon to see that. He was already with another client. He might call me later .

She walked around the house for a while. I followed her so she wouldn't fall or get hurt. Ravan & Alice took turns smelling her & Ravan gave her a quick lick! ( ) She went over to her food & I thought she was going to eat!! but just smelled it.

She's "spaced out" sitting in the Front room & just staring. This is so much BETTER than last time! If I hadn't asked them not to give her so much anesthesia I would have still been there waiting for her to stop shaking .

Thank you all once again for positive thoughts, prayers & healing energy I'm convinced it does help! ( now more good healing thoughts to make that tumor shrink & go away!!! PLEASE? )

BIG SIGH! I am so RELIEVED!!!! And Very GRATEFUL :)

Ravan is looking awesome today as usual,

Great news to hear that the treatment went so much better today for Peggy Sue! I didn't realize that they had pulled a molar for her, that's great too! I'm sending positive and optimistic healing vines her way :joyful:

Peggy Sue went outside & watched birds & butterflies in the garden & when she came in she ate a tablespoon of food!!

This all reinforces my opinion that we need to be Advocates for our animals! If I didn't ask she be given less anesthesia she would have been wiped out like last time.

We need to speak up if something doesn't feel right. We need to do some research about what the side effects are from the meds they get! Doctors ( for us & our pets ) are human! They make mistakes They are busy & don't keep up with new ideas & information!

We need to stop following blindly whatever vets & doctors tell us. We need to educate ourselves to protect our animal companions & ourselves!

"According to a recent study by Johns Hopkins, more than 250,000 people in the United States die every year because of medical mistakes, making it the third leading cause of death after heart disease and cancer.Feb 22, 2018"

Some interesting videos about vaccinations & neutering

I agree 100% with you !! I always question everything.... they don't like me too much but that's it!
I was waiting for news and am soo glad that it went better than the 1st time ! Maybe the extraction kept her from eating well !
So happy for you and our sweet Peggy Sue! :bighug::bighug:
Now let's get to work about healing and getting rid of the tumor .... :) Sending tons of healing vines ! :bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug:

Joy,
This great news just made my day a very good one! I love everything you are saying about being an assertive advocate for our pets. Thanks for the videos too.
My prayers are that Peggy Sue will heal completely:bighug:

Thanks for the videos too.

Let me know what you think ,if you watch the videos. Dr. Becker was my vet many years ago before she became Famous! She has a ton of education & knowledge about animals. I LOVE what she's saying about vaccinations & everything else!

I'm sure "traditional" vets are not liking her very much! Less money in their pockets!
