Apologies for taking so long to update. It has been a difficult time for me
Know that I am still here, reading, and praying for you all. I don't feel up to posting very much.

It is now, almost to the minute, exactly 3 months since Butthead left.

I just took this photo of the Butthead rose, which has been repotted and started a new baby rosebud last week:

Old rose on the left, new bud on the right. You may notice through the window that it is dreary and raining outside. That happened shortly before I took that photo. I have not received much communication from Butthead lately. Not for lack of looking for him... I realized, though, that he has been very busy picking up and driving all of the new GAs around. Too many precious babies have joined Butthead recently. But I know he is showing them around and making sure they are happy at the Bridge.

While going through old photos, I came across these. This is Butthead at a cat show in 2007. I was showing another cat but brought him along to visit. Unfortunately he hated being judged, but he loved just about any other kind of attention. Notice how stressed he looks in the benching cage

since I have used up my allotment of photos for one post, I'll continue in the next one...

Here is another classic photo of Butthead that I posted on FB a few weeks ago:

Donovan: I am pleased to report that he has been green for just over a month. His last blue was 7/15. That's a record for him. I've been testing him 3x a week. Now of course he'll probably throw me a blue just because he can, but that's OK. Clearly his dental issues were a big factor in his increased BGs. I was blessed that he responded so well to the switch from Vetsulin to Levemir and went OTJ in relatively short order. I applaud you all for your continued vigilance in helping your sugarcats. I know how frustrating it can be. I take nothing for granted where Donny is concerned.

I took this pic of him last week. He loves to bask in the sun as it sets each day:

And another classic "Donny wants to go outside" clip. Still can't get him to sing to go out on video.
    I'll keep trying.

Love and prayers to you all.

((((MJ))))) I was thinking about you today. Thinking about Butthead driving all the GAs around made me smile. I love that image and it gives me comfort. Butthead's rose is sending a second bloom - awwww. I'd see that as a sign.

I loved Donny's video. I'm always amazed by his white whiskers and love his white feet. I can't get Henry meowing on video either. As soon as I have camera in hand, silence. Glad Donny has recovered from his dental and feeling better. Is he OTJ????

MJ, thank you for sharing your pictures of Butthead. Makes me also smile to think of him taking all the new GA kitties under his wing and showing them around. As I have said before, Butthead was one of those kitties that we will always remember. Also loved the picture and video of Donny. I wish I could get one of my kitties to walk on a harness. I've tried, but no luck. Thanks again for your updates.

Hi MJ: What gorgeous pictures.....what handsome, handsome boys. I always love the photos and videos you post.

Please know that we always think of you and keep you in our prayers. Butthead will speak to you when you least expect it.....when you really need it. But I know he is there with you all the time. Sometimes we don't allow our minds to be silent enough to hear....but you will hear with your heart and know his presence.

I can see Butthead in his Rainbow Bridge tour guide hat driving all the new GAs around to show them how nice it is there. He always made everyone smile. Thanks for posting all the pictures and the video of Donny. He is so handsome. It is good to hear how well he is doing.

    Have a good evening,

Yes, he is a Scottish Fold, and there were high hopes for Butthead, a.k.a. Linanci's Gen'Earation neXt, to have a kick-@$$ show career. But towards the end of his kitten showings, he became increasingly difficult to handle. I was hoping to show him in Championship class too, but it was recommended that I neuter him asap to perhaps calm him down. That didn't work. He loved all people... except judges

I showed Donovan also, and he was 2nd best household pet of the year in 1997-1998.
He wasn't a suck-up or show off like some of the other household pets, but I never had to worry about Donny eating a judge. He always behaved, and that was a joy. In the final ring of his final show, where I had promised him that he could retire, he did a big pile of poops in the judging cage . That spoke volumes.
And yes, he has been OTJ since March 2010. When his BGs crept into yellows this past April, I brought him to the vet for a dental. That turned into a cardio consult before surgery since the vet detected a small heart murmur, and then a consult with a dental specialist since the work he needed done was outside my vet's comfort zone. Donny had all but 4 teeth removed in June.

Here is a link to an old web page I used to maintain. The ISP went out of business years ago, but oddly, the pages remain accessible.

Hi MJ - it is nice to hear from you. I do so hope you are hanging in there. We miss you, but all understand how it is. I enjoyed the Butthead stories, photos. And Donny's video - very fun! I never knew they were show cats - that is great. Thanks for posting the link to the web page you used to have. That was fun to look at.

I love the thought of Butthead as the Bridge Tour guide - that I can see. What a wonderful thought. Do know that he is with you always, you will hear him in your heart, probably when you least expect it.

As always, you remain in our thoughts.

thank you for sharing that link I so enjoyed looking at it both Butthead and Donovan beautiful folds    we never got past kitten class for Do Lou he just hated it so much we tried to show him until the age of about 6 months or maybe 7 but he pretty much blew up on the cat caged next to him in the judging area and I knew it was pointless to persist but we were newbies then and I would never push a cat now the way I did him since now we only will show a cat that truly enjoys it no matter how pretty the aby but you live and learn...
