Rosie had a good day yesterday. We started the new food plan (mix FF with RC 50/50). Thanks @Bronx's dad for this tip! She was happy with lots of food to enjoy and no AB schedule to disrupt the fun.

Everything was going great until I saw the latest RC recall :eek:. I don't have any of this, but I do have "later" lots, so I'm thinking I may have already used the affected product. Ugh. She has no signs of the specific illness described in the recall, but still it is unsettling. Not sure how to avoid this going forward. One would have to record the lot number detail from every tub purchased to know for sure. I'm a control freak but I don't know if I want to do that.

We have some nice clear sunshine in Chicago today. Rose is relaxed and taking it easy. Today is day 1 of the AB pulse plan. Not sure how I'm going to stay organized with this - post-it notes on the kitchen counter for now.

Uggh, I am sure Bronx had those the last few months. I just checked and all containers I have now are aft the BB date. I never saw any issues besides his excessive drinking last month? Hmmm

Rose has had ongoing infection / WBC problems for the last few months, so I would consider her to be immune system compromised. The only new problem that has showed up in her recent BW is spiked BUN, so that is why I'm going with your recommendation to 50/50 mix RC just to cut back a bit. She is drinking more also and that would be consistent with increased BUN. Based on everything RC has said about this, it won't make a healthy cat sick, but I don't then again, we aren't here because our cats are healthy...

She enjoyed Kefir for a couple of weeks, but now won't touch it. I think I'm going back to RenewLife - that is the only other thing I can think of to do to help her get stronger.
