Ok so he jast kept coming down slowly! I had an appointment this morning so I pit some honey in his food after that +2.

I really need to figure out some that has no chicken, corn or diary that I can give him to steer those numbers.

Looks like the increase is already working, he is coming down!

You mean no chicken, corn or dairy as HC food, instead of honey?

Yes - HC that is no chicken, has no cornstarch or dairy in it - so I don't have to use honey. It is a temporary fix where the food is a longer lasting.

I'm glad Jones stayed safe for you today. I hope he doesn't bounce too high.

Felix has been getting potato flakes in his regular food when I need to steer him a bit. He doesn't come up as high as with honey, but it does last longer (two hours or more). I still use honey if he goes below 50--or I'll put in both potato flakes and honey, which he thinks is yummier than plain cat food. I usually start with 1/4 teaspoon in maybe a tablespoon of food, and I'd estimate that behaves like medium-carb for Felix. It takes some experimenting. I think Stacy & Asia has used rice flour, too.

Hope Jones is back to blue soon!

What about wet food like Ziwi peaks that has 20% carbs? Venison, fo ex. I had bought so many that I did use some of that last times when he hit the greens. Porto doesnt like it much tho, so it only works for when he drops a bit too low and he is ravenous.
It seems Jones is coming down again after reaching those yellows. You go Jones!:cat:
