When he doesn't jump on my bed at amps time, I know it won't be a good day and so it is. He won't eat at all today (carbon copy of yesterday) - so again, in goes the cerenia, ondansteron, cyproheptadine and praying it works today. His numbers were good this am - further contributing to my anxiety over giving his full dose (which I did)
I hope we can come up with a plan that helps him - Monday's vet appointment can't come soon enough. He's been this way for at least a month, and this is a lousy quality of life for him at this point.

Praying all those in the path of Hurricane Harvey are safe
 
Oh Carol......... it really does wear you down when they don't feel well and not responding to everything you throw at them.

Sending good vetty vines for your visit and hope that a plan can be put into place to get Murphy in a better place . :bighug:

What did you decide about trying some raw?

I hope that he will surprise you and eat some raw. Fingers and Paws crossed. Wish I had a Whole Food close. Our nearest one is about 30 -35 minutes away and in a high traffic so I never go to it.
 
Have your tried gently cooking chicken liver? Gerbers 2nd meat only baby food? I don't think I'd try raw at this point in case something is suppressing his immune system. :bighug::bighug:
 
(((Carol))) I'm so sorry Murphy is struggling to eat. That's one of the worst things IMO especially with insulin on board. Sure hope the meds kick in soon. Some have suggested trying to syringe feed a little to see if that will entice him to eat on his own. Sending mega vines and prayers. :bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug:
 
Thanks Carla and Linda. @tiffmaxee Elise - I have tried the baby food - he won't eat it - I've used it to syringe feed so that may be a reason
I am going to walk over to Whole Foods in a little while and try to get some liver. I have offered liver to him before and he wouldn't eat it
I gave him some bupe a little while ago, and that seems to be working at least a little- he just ate a fews bits of kibble -- it's a start. I'm going to try some SQ fluids in a bit. Thanks for reminding me about trying to syringe of bit of food, @Doodles & Karen. If I can get some liver, I'm going to make the shake and syringe that into him.

Come on little Murphy you need to eat.
Sure hope you get some answers and a plan on Monday.There is a bone soup that Iv'e been told that when kitties won't eat they will eat this.
