Yesterday - we went to the vet- started Murphy on budesonide and B12 this am. Due to his chronic diarrhea, she mentioned the kitty fecal pills, and thanks to @jayla-n-Drevon, I was able to say that the package just came in the mail yesterday. Wouldn't you know, without giving anything, this am, he had the first normal formed stool in many weeks.
This morning, although his tail is up, he won't even look at food. I loaded him up on the cerenia, ondansteron, cyproheptadine and now I sit with my fingers crossed hoping it will kick in soon.

On another note, last week my dermatologist biopsied a spot on my leg that has been there for over 10 years without an change in appearance that I could discern. It came back melanoma in situ -so thank goodness it was caught early. So wear sunscreen, everyone!! All the time!!

I hope the new meds and poop pills help Murphy. Hear! Hear! on sunscreen. I have a skin graft on my right cheek bone area that's about an inch and a half in diameter: melanoma in situ removed 14 years ago. I'm slathered in sunscreen all the time.

And glad that the poo pills gave him a normal stool today, YEA H!!!
I hadn't given him the poo pills yet when he had a formed stool - the directions said the capsule could be put in food - he was eating some nutro pate - I put the pill in it and he wouldn't eat it any more. Then I realized that he must smell poo in his food - yuck - I am going to be putting the pill in his mouth directly from now on

FWIW I get Rico's pills ready and put a light coating of butter on them....I bring his meds and a juicy food he likes and sit down to pill him .... he is very particular about "how" he is pilled so if I do it his way it is all good-then I have the food ready for him to eat to make sure it went down (I hold the plate). I usually use MAX cat there are few are under 10% and he licks the juice --I usually throw the rest away.
Funny he had a normal poo LOL. little boogars they are!
I use vaseline when I pill Dre and it goes down super easy but it also helps him poo which is the opposite of Rico's issue:banghead:

Wouldn't it be wonderful if all we had to do was show a pill and poof they got the message every time?! ( I seem to recall some certain Sugar Cats going OTJ via that method!) So happy he had a good poop! Yay for poop Murphy!!!
Glad too you caught the melanoma quickly! Double yay! Sending big hugs and firm-poop and appy vines!
( only here would that whole paragraph make sense!:bighug::bighug:)

Thanks Jayla - I usually don't have any problems pilling Murf Man - I need to use a water chaser
@Gussie's mom - Les, It is SOO good to hear from you.
Good to be talking to you guys too! Thank you so much!:bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug:
If pilling is ok that might be another way to get the CBD into him if you opt for that and he turns his tail up at the taste..I had some tiny gel caps for Gussies meds, and for my CRF civvies before that. :bighug::bighug: Butter, now that's super advice, Gussie preferred them that way too!
