So I gave Chase a mixture of LC and MC food.... from the beginning, today. That didn't work out so well, apparently. I've been giving him LC for his 1st 2 servings of food 1st thing in the morning, and then leaving out MC for after his insulin. Today I tried to mix it up because he needs to get flattened out. Nothing I seem to do can get rid of these bounces.

I'm home on my break and gave him some MC. I hope that's enough to bring him back up. There's no telling how low he goes when I'm not here. I will say this, though. His BG maybe only 55 but he's playing and jumping around like nobody's business.

I'm getting very frustrated. I guess this is just going to be our life, from now on.

Feeling so discouraged with the numbers. :(

He has always done this big dip after his morning insulin, but not in the evening. Has anyone ever given their cat a different dose in the pm then they do in the am? I'm at a loss and don't know what to try.

The MC helped. He went from 55 to 60 in the 45 minutes I've been home. Going to give a little more MC and then he'll have LC/MC mix for rest of the day and I'll see how that goes.

I've never been good at feeding to flatten a cat out. Bouncing is so frustrating, but giving a different dose in the AM and PM is not a good idea. If you do that the depot will always be changing and you'll never be able to tell what a dose is really doing for him. :bighug::bighug::bighug:

that could very well be why he came out of remission and fluctuates so much.

I understand.
Well... when a vet last saw him, about 2 months ago, he said it looked like his right canine was dead. But he also told me I should leave it alone as long as it was in one piece. Said that pulling it meant the possibility of complications. I can't seem to get much feedback here, anymore, so I don't ask many question. I guess I should just save up to get the tooth pulled. I will never have $700 - $1000 to get his teeth cleaned. That's just not a realty for me, unfortunately.
