Hi L&LL, We came home from camp on Friday.

We had more violent storms at camp causing black outs in Internet (but our electricity stayed on). Rusty did well at camp and was eating well (for him). He has a cube there and has been snoozing in it. At night he sleeps between his beans on his little green blanket.

On Aug. 3rd we went to Blue Mountain Lake to the Adirondack Museum because the weather was too threatening to paddle. The re-designed building focussing on the Adirondack Experience is fantastic--so much information there. One could spend the whole day in it. But then one would miss all the other things--everything in it's original shape and moved over the last 50 years to the museum grounds: the 1890s hotel, the turn of the century railroad car (the wealthy magnates and captains of industry traveled to their Great Camps by rail in private railroad cars); the boating building full of historic guideboats, early motorboats, and canoes; the exhibit on logging in the late 19th century; the art galleries; the 1940s hunting camp; etc etc. It is a wonderful place to visit and to learn.

We came home yesterday (Friday) because the weather was not good and we needed to get a head start on the next week. My new Subaru has arrived at the dealership and I'm going to get it on Tuesday. On Monday I have to get the money together to pay for it! Later in the week we are hosting a mini family reunion (15 people) from Thursday to Sunday. It will be so much fun to see my sister, brother and some of my nieces and nephews. We had this big party last year and it was a great success. Unfortunately the long-range forecast isn't great, but that's the way things are in the mountains.

I'm still struggling with Rusty's tiny dose. Some days I get it pretty good, others, not so great. Now that we're home Rusty's appetite has returned to "normal" (not great).

Today we went to the farmers' market and spent the afternoon cleaning the inside of the car. What a job!

Going downstairs now to hold Rusty's bowl. bbl,

Hi! I see Rusty is a low dose kitty like Gobbles. I call Gobbles' dose "1 drop", though it is probably .10, idk..and sometimes wonder if he even gets that. My you are busy with thOse canoes!!!
