Very rough day for Gus today. He actually started several days ago not eating (normal for Gus) and occasional throw up. In the past I noticed that when he had constipation and strained to poop he would throw up and I was thinking that is the case this time to. This morning started with throw up and not eating. His AMPS was 142 so I rechecked after 20 minutes and injected 0.25s instead his full 0.25U. Shortly after meds he eat OK and seemed OK. At + 3.5 his BG was 35 so I started to fed HC and later drop of honey. It took very long time to get his BG to go up. PMPS was 70 and he throw up 10 minutes before PM check. He is walking around looking for food but not eating. I didn't give him PM insulin. We have vets appointment tomorrow morning. We were so lucky that for long time Gus was doing so well, except this thing on trampoline. So please send some vine for my sweet old boy.

A bit scary with a kitty that's vomiting and not eating but you did a good job :bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug: I wouldn't have given insulin either. Sending truck loads of appy and vetty vines and prayers for your sweet Gus.

Sending tons of vines for Gus to get better and feel better and eat better and keep his food down.

Elizabeth,

I'm so sorry Gus isn't feeling well. Have you ever tried Cerenia for the nausea? Some cats do better with Cerenia, and some need both Cerenia and Ondansetron (you can use them together as they work differently). Ask your vet about it.

Meanwhile, sending lots of tummy healing vines and good vetty vines. Please keep us posted.

Do try cerenia if you haven't in the past. Sometimes it works better when vomiting occurs. Maybe your vet can give a shot of it while you are there. I hope Gus feels better real soon and your vet has ideas to speed that up.
