Yesterday wherein the human gave Alice extra insulin :banghead:

This morning is fine. Everyone is purry, Alice was glad to eat. How much are those timed feeders? Because sometimes by 5-6AM she throws up a little from being hungry I think. She could probably use a snack around 3AM but leaving extra wet food out doesn’t really work out the way I would like.

We had our “cold front” come in, some nice freezing 70° days. :p That does mean the nights are actually a little chilly and I had to sternly insist my black cat come in for the night and gorge on her snacks and be warm. She’s skinny, old, and likes the outside but not the cold. I don’t like feeding the possum inadvertently.

Here’s to everyone having a wonderful day!

I use the Petsafe for the +9 at night and when I go out. Otherwise her chip feeder usually has food.

I did adapt the Petsafe so I could use ceramic bowls though. I just plop an ice cube in the food or add a bit of water so it doesn't dry out. I do have reusable ice cubes but they are to much of a hassle.

I freeze an ice cube tray full of cubes with 1/2 oz of food with some water mixed in. Pop one in the feeder for +9 AM and PM and it thaws out by the time it opens. I started the late snack for exactly this reason... Figaro was vomiting a bit around +10-11 almost every day, and this solved the issue mostly.

This same vomiting problem is happening with both of my girls either around that same time or when they eat first thing, sometimes they throw up because they were so hungry, and it’s always hard to guess how much is enough and not too much or too little to give when that happens!

Thank you everyone for the links! :)
