She hasn’t had quite as much food as she usually does by now because I was out... she was a solid 3.03kg this morning fasting though, and that’s good. She’s not gaining at the same rate but she is holding well. :)

But these are good happy numbers and I’m glad to see them!!!!

I spent part of when I should have been sleeping last night writing up a long list of questions I could ask my vet about Alice’s surgery. I’m nervous and I also want it to happen ASAP because I think we messed up even waiting so long because it is larger. :( The potential outcome if it is malignant after waiting that long is not as good. Soooo you know.


Happy things!!! Today is my civvie chonky Jakey’s birthday! :D I think he is 6 but I’m always confused if he was 1 or 2 when I ended up with him. <3

IDK if it is a good suggestion but...
many cats appy goes off post surgery.
Given DKA and all maybe it is good idea to let her gorge a bit?
In case she refuses to eat post she has a little cushion on her.

She’s eating 3 cans a day and she had a Sheba portion on top of that yesterday. I have freeze dried chicken I can add to bulk things up, too..... she eats a lot already! Lol.
I am worried about how her appy will be. Planning to ask vet for ondansetron because I don’t have any right not. I have a bucketful of mirtazapine, and a small bit of Cerenia. I don’t know what they will give her for pain??

So she is having her probably mammary tumor removed (it’s like a small cigarillo butt sort of nipple thing happening right now, the way it is swollen up), and also being spayed.

I’ve also never fasted her before and won’t know how that works with the insulin surgery night.

I need to make a list of questions to ask here, too, clearly. :b
