I will look for last post link later.... It’s a frustrating morning all around.

I’m frustrated with myself for oversleeping more often recently on her morning dose. :(

And not happy with her numbers lately.

She also tries to walk away from me when I give her shots—something new. She bent a needle today moving and I had to start a new one (she definitely did not get any insulin from the first one).....

Would an increase back to 1.75u be warranted at this point? Her nadirs are terrible ish. :(

Outdoor cat won’t come in to eat. I can’t leave wet food out alllll night. It just attracts bugs and gets wasted.
In the morning outside cat overeats and throws up what little I get her to eat. I am worried she will not get enough calories. I thought she was getting a little skinnier so I started trying harder to encourage tiny snacks.... but I cannot always go feed her a bite every hour. And again, most of the time she won’t eat when it’s hotter out, at all.
She threw up her whole breakfast all over the porch. I also can’t afford the waste. :\ Sigh!
And I am trying to decide which cat gets a turn at going to the vet next, but the bunny needs to go too. Triage!!! :banghead:
 
It does look like Alice needs a dose increase. She hasn't seen green for a little while. I'm sorry about your outside cat. I hope you can get her to eat. Sending prayers. :bighug::bighug::bighug:
 
Thanks Carla. Yeah, I think we will go up tonight..... I wonder if the insulin efficacy is decreasing or if it is her.

For awhile all those reductions were making me so excited! :(
 
you were progressing down the hill so nicely, blame the weather! so many factors affect our sensitive cats, and they make sure we know that THEY are in charge, we aren't, not really, try as we might --

thanks again, publicly, for the wonderful box of treats -- Catcat is definitely a fish lover, luckily he doesn't turn his nose up at anything else either, except for cooked egg white (unless I top it with bonito flakes) --

I hope the increase does the trick, then!

Next step, I need to find a way to quit oversleeping by 30-60 minutes some mornings. I love the 6/6 schedule and feel so frustrated when I get off of it.

Got outdoor kitty to eat more earlier. That made me feel better. :)
 
LOL -- too bad I can't loan you Catcat -- he will absolutely NOT allow any sleeping after 5:30 --- or at least won't allow ME any -- he lets DH alone, since DH doesn't feed him nor scritch him exactly the way he wants -- I used to have an alarm clock that got louder and louder and louder until you could hear it a block away -- haven't needed that in years
 
Oh my goodness I couldn’t even remember if I had a post today.

PMPS was 99, +2 94, +4 88, I am exhausted so I’m hoping she just needs to process the whole can of friskies or more I think she has had so far......

Eta oh and I sort of upped her dose. I was all set to try for what o think 1.75u looks like but then that PS got me questioning so I sort of did in-between.... maybe 1.6-1.65..... shrug? I’ll see how tonight goes and what her PS is and may not increase to 1.75u yet.
 
Linda talked me into shooting .5 a couple of hours late tonight, I too will be putting the Friskies out for grazing all night, though Catcat will probably eat it all within 15 minutes -- don't want to stay up late but DH is excited about possible meteors the next few nights

and the Seahawks are playing tomorrow night (against the Denver Broncos) -- mostly it will be the new guys and those holdovers who hope to make the team, the "stars" will have the night off, by and large

DH played football way back when -- as he says, weighed 125 pounds, only 5 foot 7, was terribly nearsighted and not allowed to wear glasses to play, and has very narrow feet so the shoes didn't fit, he wallowed around in them

for me, it's the hometown team so I cheer for them

I may fall asleep before it gets dark enough to see meteors, at least it has cooled off, there's a nice breeze and a clear sky
 
we got outside, found a relatively dark part of the yard, could see the northeast sky, spotted Cassiopeia -- then gradually clouds formed all over the sky, it's been humid all day and as the earth cooled off after sunset, the moisture condensed ...

Catcat was delighted to have us out in the yard in the almost-dark -- he gamboled back and forth, rubbing against our legs then kiyoodling off and galumphing back

time for me to tidy the bed and think about getting into it

Cassiopeia is one of the few I can even pick out! Naturally I gravitated towards knowing that one, as a child.... did I even post today? Probably not.
I’ve got a job tomorrow, sweet delicious income, that means I will be gone from Alice most of the day! Nervous for that but hopefully she doesn’t throw us off and do anything crazy!
