I posted earlier about Baby my 11 year old cat. She is on Novolin N relion injection.
    5 units every 12 hours.
She had bw last week. Her BG is 500, her pancreatic enzymes are high, she started vomiting blood again this morning. Symptoms were urinating everywhere, thirst, vomiting. Thank you. No hypo as I'm with her all day.

    • Underlying medical issues (including liver or kidney disease)
    • Toxicity (certain plants and heavy metals such as lead or arsenic)
    • Infection (bacterial or viral)
    • Stomach ulcers, which can be caused by medications, including non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, steroids and aspirin
    • Clotting disorders (including rat poison ingestion)
    • Trauma, including eating bones or other materials, which injure the gastrointestinal tract
    • Tumors of the stomach or esophagus

How long has the vomiting been going on? Repeated vomiting episodes can irritate the esophagus and cause bleeding. Some other causes are in the list above. If it continues you should have the vet check your kitty.

We all expressed a high level of concern about the very large insulin dose your kitty is getting. Would you mind telling us how it was arrived at?
