I have posted everywhere - confused... As usual! Baby is on novolin N - 5 units (just started 3 days ago) bid. Reading a lot for the past week. This insulin is the lesser of all. Glargine is expensive & was not really offered any other. She is still urinating, drinking & eating everything & vomited what looked like blood tinged water.
    When will this end?

It is confusing when you first start to find the right place or the best place to post.

If you could change your title you will get more replies. Something like "Baby throwing up blood..need advise"

I am posting a link to your previous posts so that others can get more background:

As I said in the other post :

If there is more than a small streak of blood I would take her to the vet. Sometimes excess vomiting can cause a tinge of blood, but anything more than that should be checked out.

Possible causes for bloody vomit in felines include:
    • Chronic severe vomiting
    • Foreign bodies (including hairballs)
    • Parasites (including heartworms)
    • Underlying medical issues (including liver or kidney disease)
    • Toxicity (certain plants and heavy metals such as lead or arsenic)
    • Infection (bacterial or viral)
    • Stomach ulcers, which can be caused by medications, including non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, steroids and aspirin
    • Clotting disorders (including rat poison ingestion)
    • Trauma, including eating bones or other materials, which injure the gastrointestinal tract
    • Tumors of the stomach or esophagus

Also tagging a couple of other members for their input
@Kris & Teasel @Meya14 can you add anything to this
