Bubba 11.9.16 Back on the juice day

    Good Morning L & L ~

Last night was a yellow flat cycle . Also, Bubba started not finishing his food during the PM cycle and had to be coaxed a bit to finish. My fear, another toothache :banghead: No other symptom except peeing a lot more. Guess a vetty visit is in order.

Vines to all Beans and Kitties that are in need.

A vet visit would not hurt and may give you more answers. Come on Bubbs, get back with the OTJ program!

Ugh, sorry Bobbie. I definitely think a vet visit is in order. Hope it's something simple:bighug:

Bobbie - he had that dental without any dental X-rays, right?

These poor kitties just can't catch a break :( Think you're seeing a yellow bounce from yesterday and hope he comes back down today. Sigh...on a vetty visit but probably a good idea. :bighug::bighug:

Yes, I know that I was warned to go to the specialist to have x rays done prior. Hindsight.....always 20/20.

I'm so sorry Bobbie! But yes I think a vet visit is a good idea; might as well rule out an infection and have his teeth looked at. When I took Boomer to the vet a couple of weeks ago (when his levels went up) the vet told us there was a bit of tarter on Boomer's teeth....and he just had a dental 2.5 months before that!
I hope he follows Boomer's example (again) and comes down for you!

I know you don't want any tooth problems, but at least it would explain his numbers. :bighug::bighug:

Are you going to have Boomer's teeth cleaned again? This gets very expensive.....

No I don't think so. There's no way that they should need to be cleaned every 3 months. And we did have X-rays taken last time so there shouldn't be any surprises there.
    And to quote my vet
"we're told that mild periodontal disease shouldn't be enough to cause insulin resistance".
Of course, Boomer has had a very good response to a wee bit of insulin. Hopefully Bubba responds quickly too but if he doesn't and if there is no infection present then perhaps you should think about another cleaning and have X-rays done (I don't think you did X-rays last time?)

    Hugs Bobbie:bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug:
Hoping that if you go to the vet the answer they find is a simple to fix one and that Mousemaster Bubba is back on patrol and atop his mound surveying the terrain soon....:bighug::bighug:

I'm so sorry to see those yellows. :bighug::bighug: I think a vetty visit is a good idea. Two times last year, Neko had a dental vetty visit where her teeth looked fine to visual inspection, but X-rays revealed work that needed to be done. I'm a huge fan of dental X-rays.

There must be and explanation with answers we just don't have. Hopefully the vet will
find up something. We can see a slow progression in GL with a jump in the last
two days. Perfect timing to exclude infections or others aspect before concluding
hormones or pancreas are off synch.

Wish all goes well, keep on.

I went to see my homeopath today who is also an animal communicator. She said it is not Bubba's teeth; his stomach is bothering him and he is nauseous. Last night I found foaming throw up right before dinner in the living room and didn't know who did it. She said it was Bubba and that he has a bacterial infection in his stomach, possibly from a tick bite ( I pulled about 3 off him a few days ago and one site was all red and swollen. She gave me two remedies for him to take. Also, he is experiencing some allergies ( I wiped some yellow discharge out of the corner of his eye a few days ago and forgot about until she said that) She has helped him in the past. Fingers and Paws crossed.

I hope the AC is right and the remedies can get Bubba back into good health. There is definitely something happening that is beyond your control.

Come on Bubba..feel better so that Momma doesn't have to worry so much.

Lots of good health energy and :bighug::bighug::bighug: sent your way.

According to our government there is no such thing as Lyme disease in Australia - even though there are plenty of people who've had tick bites suffering the exact same symptoms  :rolleyes::rolleyes: I do hope that cats can't get it though and that the remedies you have fix Bubba right up.

Really Bubba you just can't keep away from the action can you o_O:confused:

I know - usually bacteria called rickettsia and Ehrlichiae (Rocky Mountain spotted fever, etc) and viral encephalopathies are the major ones that infect humans - does he have a fever or a rash? Signs of a tick bite?

No rash, just a red raised lump where I pulled one tick off and I put some Neosporin on it and it looks a lot better today.
How are people with Lyme's symptoms being treated?

They're generally not in Australia unless they see alternative medicine providers - most doctors are of the opinion that it's all in their heads.

I wonder if you didn't get the whole tick out, or squeezed it while getting it out. I understand that may cause issues

ETA - or if there's another one hiding on him somewhere still doing its thing

    Seriously????

Good point serryn I wonder if there could be another one hiding somewhere.
George got a tick the other day too and he's had one once before, I read that you often are left with z hard little lump when you remove them, which disappears over time and this is certainly what I have noted with bot George and the Muppets. I do use a tick removing device rather than my fingers, that way I know I'm getting the whole thing.

I was wondering if they started Austrailians on Doxy or Penn. Gosh, that is terrible! I have it and was treated with doxy and did not make a full recovery until I start seeing my homeopath. I periodically take my remedies a couple times of year or whenever I have a flair up.

I did just take another tick off Bubba about an hour ago.........And he had a diarrhea episode a few hours ago, and cried out for a bit to let me know how horrid he feels. It was hard to believe when she told me today it was his stomach hurting him because he had no symptoms except his BG numbers and appy starting to not be great. Not that I am glad that he has diarrhea but it confirms what she got from him.

My dog Lenny was diagnosed with Lyme disease a few years ago and was treated with Doxy. He had the lameness, pain, etc. I have never heard of a cat getting it, but they now automatically do a combo test for heartworm & Lyme on dogs because it's so common in Indiana.

Sending feel better vines for Bubba!
