Good Morning L & L ~

This was a nice surprise after I got a 95 at @ 7.75 last night. Lucy did just scare the behjeezes out of him so maybe a dip due to stress. And, I thought I had done a partial FS last night but, luckily I did not.

OT: Today I am going to the eye doctor. I bit the bullet and called yesterday. Since he is my friend's hubby, I got right in :) The only problem is that it takes hours in his office and hope Bubba stay safe.

BW for me is all good except I my cholesterol is high. I will try to watch my diet and start exercising again. I will not go on statin drug!

Looks like my keyboard is behaving now.......

Our doctor put DH on a slew of vitamin supplements. It's the one nice thing about this Dr. is that he's not big on pharmaceuticals unless of course it's a necessity. DH does not exercise and his diet is mainly pizza :rolleyes: The supplements have helped.

That just seems cruel that they would tell you right before the holidays. ;) Good luck with your eye doctor appointment - and I hope that Bubba behaves himself while you're out.
 
Be good while your bean is out Bubba... you need her eyes to be healthy or it might be pin the tail on the insulin and im telling you that isnt a good plan buddy... hope your eye exam is all good and you arent worrying about Bubba too much while you are out Bobbie
 
Statins are wicked...I've got a friend who has compounding side-effects but I can't convince him to seek another route - basically, he doesn't want to change. I don't get it...I'd rather change my lifestyle than take drug after drug and see doctor after doctor. My Mom is on them, too, but at her age I don't think I can get her to change on that one, even though I would like to. I hope all went well at the eye doc!

Bubba surfed nicely for me while I was at the eye doc. I was there 2.5 hours! I tested him right before I was walking out the door at +4 and he was 74 and that was 1 hour after a small meal so I gave him 1/2 that amount of LC again and left the autofeeder to open in another 2 hours. He surfed along. :D:cat: Got home in time to get my mom fed, med, showered and she and I had hair appointments. Can you say glass of white wine?

OT: The eye doc RX Restatis, very very expensive and my plan won't cover it as it is a non- formulary drug. That is what he wants me on. It is $475.41 for 30 days and that is Costco price. The local pharms want 900!! Ugh, plus he put me on a 10 day steroid drops that is 280 bucks but I am asking him to switch it to the generic and save me almost 1/2. Eyes are important and as @Lincolns Mom said, I don't want to be playing pin the tail on the insulin. LOL

No doctor appointments tomorrow :)
 
Glad hearing you got opinion from an expert for your eyes :bighug: Sorry for the expensive medication :eek:

Have you thought about perhaps, contacting the drug company that manufactures this drug? Customer service will frequently help you out considerably, if the cost is this high and this necessary. I have done this several times, and customer service always managed a discount, once I even got the med gratis. Worth a try anyway.

That is a great idea! I will call them tomorrow! Thanks for that suggestion. It is worth a try.
