2/6/19 Good Morning L B & L ~ Bubba got a reduction this AM from .75 to .50 for being in all greens for over a week ( 10 days) I am second guessing myself now and think I should have hit in the middle of .75 and .50. I might fatten it up tonight as I am nervous taking him down to fast. We were all the way down to 2 drops last September when he started going back up again, sigh. Status Quo in the rest of the house. Vines to all Beans and Kitties in need.
Sending wisdom vines for you when dosing. I hope Bubba's next visit to the falls is a permanent move. I struggle with dosing Bailey as well. I love her mostly green SS, but I think she likes the attention and may want to be in this sugar dance for the long haul. Glad everyone else is doing well
Good luck with the reduction. I would give it at least 3 cycles to see if the numbers creep back up then you can fatten it.
Yup, I feel your pain. We got down to .25 last year then steadily up from there. Nice numbers Bubba! Congratulations on the reducie!
I'm discovering the same thing. If I reduce by too much he's back up too high! Right now he's kinda stuck at 1 unit. Good luck!
Congrats on reducie. Tell him spring is coming and there will be lots of mousies waiting outside so he better shape up or else.........
Yes it's very disheartening; especially when there didn't seem to be a reason for it (infection, need dental, etc)
I think that's where I went wrong too She was doing so great - until that one night when she got away from DH...I don't think she deserved that reduction - and it's been nothing but trouble since...
Which reduction are you speaking of. Give me the date so I can follow along. The last reduction I see was 1/23 AM cycle.
I think in retrospect that Bubba's was the beginning of his allergy to chicken and pork causing inflammation in his gut. He had the 4 days of diarrhea in Nov, prior to all hell breaking loose. JMHO. Of course it could be just because he is a cat...
Been crazy busy at work and Scooter is just cruising along, not much to tell. Thanks for thinking about us!
On the night of 1/22 DH didn't feed MC at 2+. He waited until she hit that row of 30's before giving her MC - After that she had a few ok days...but her numbers were higher...and she just kept going up. I, like others, search for reasons such as the insulin is bad, the medication is affecting the BG, the planets aren't aligned, etc. It's easier than accepting the reality that cats are difficult to regulate and for whatever reason Luci fell away from those great numbers she was trending in January to her disappointing typical numbers this month. I just set myself up for disappointment by thinking that she was getting better...it's difficult to express how discouraged and disappointed I am.
