+3.5=63 (repeated and got 65 to check)

Oh Darwin, why little man? It's almost as if twice daily insulin is too much for him..he's done better getting a shot just once daily. I'm not sure what to make of it...

+4.5=54. Darwin doesn't like the FF w/ gravy, and didn't touch that when offered. I know he'll eat the HC dry I have, but I am not sure whether to bring that out, or wait this out (I've hesitated to give it unless emergency as I worry he'll get a taste again and go back to refusing canned).

I posted on FB too as it's a little slower on here tonight. Not really a 911 - he's rambunctious at the moment, and currently playing with something imaginary in the living room behind me...

When you're wanting to slow them down, a little higher carb food is the way to go....but if he won't eat it, you have to improvise
That worked like a charm!! He chowed it right down, thanks!! I'm just so worried to give the dry because of how hard it was to get him off that...it's like kitty crack to him, ha! I need to find a higher carb canned that he likes, but the Karo in his favorite worked in a pinch!

To give you a chuckle, I'll tell you about the first time China went too low

I'd been told to give her Karo/honey/syrup, but didn't know how much, so I grabbed my trusty bottle of maple syrup (I had one in pretty much every room of the house.....just in case) and dumped about a cup full into a bowl and gave it to her.

I was shocked that she loved it and lapped it up!!

I found out later I was only supposed to give her a couple of drops, not half the bottle!!

Needless to say, she came up!!

You'll want to test again about 30 minutes after the last food to make sure he comes up....and if at all possible, test one more time an hour later so that it's been 1/2-2 hours since the last time he ate anything before calling it a night.

You might want to set an alarm if you need to nap.

I've asked someone else to watch for you because it's time for me to get off for tonight....if I couldn't find someone, I would stay

Surf safely Darwin!!!

Sounds good! I've been setting alarms in the night anyway; so I'll definitely be checking him at least two more times. Thank you VERY much!

More likely that his dose has been too high and he may just need a very small dose. That's just from looking at your SS though ;). I'll go back and find your newer posts on the situation :bookworm: :D.

Hi Tasha, it's Casey from your post on FB. Don't know how to change my name on here, lol. Checking in to see how he's doing?
Thank you for all your help - I was so tired at his +5 check that I didn't get on here to post. Walking zombie. Not exactly how I wanted to celebrate an already lame birthday, but the little guy was all purrs and playing through the night <3
