My poor boy! He did so well for everything with his dentistry today, and he’s recovering beautifully. BUT, he surprised us and had quite a few issues :arghh:

He’s got some resorptive disease, and needed 4 major extractions. He’s missing several teeth (weren’t like that in 2015, and he resists oral exams at home). He SHOULD feel even better after everything today, but I feel so bad for my little guy - I was so hoping he’d be straight forward! :blackeye:

Sorry he needed the extractions, but I'm glad things went well. He may not feel like eating much tonight. If you have any meat only baby food that may tempt him. Sending prayers for a quick recovery.

Poor Darwin, he looks so sad :(, he is very young to have such teeth troubles, I'm sorry it was worse than you expected. But, good news is he's home and he'll bounce back to his normal self, I'm sure. Hope he got his nails clipped while he was under anyway ;)

Well...here I am feeling SO bad for my little fella, and here he is feeling happy as can be!!! Through the afternoon he was giving head bumps to me and all our other technicians through his kennel. He came home and gave head bumps to all our civvies and our legs, and then went over and chowed his dinner!! He LOVES Buprenex apparently! I was so upset and surprised to find the issues, but he's a trooper! :D:D

ETA: BG is 61. "High" for Darwin :p

This is what I tell clients too...and I was expecting this (and worrying because he won't touch baby food!), but he was happy as can be to eat dinner!

My civvie had FORLs and had like 8 teeth removed. He acted like he felt much, much better afterwards. I'm sure the same will happen for Darwin.

That's what we found with Darwin! :( He had four affected teeth, and we will keep an eye on his lower canines as well. I took the first x-ray, and was so upset! I think he'll feel SO much better now though - even better than he's already been feeling, that is!

Right? It's such a shame! He only has about 9 teeth left! All of his incisors are totally gone and many others were just missing as well. So crazy, but he will feel better with the painful ones out! :cat:
