PM EDIT: Yayyyy!!! Green Again! This time, I gave the Blood Sugar Gold, even with a 55 bg level, so I might test before I go to bed, just in case that stuff is lowering his bg lolol That would be funny if I had to stay up all night because of a product doing somethin like that. I did give it to him this morning too.
I was looking over this mornings numbers and I know what takes place here but others are not here to see what takes place lololol
and I am not one to really like feeling as if I have to explain myself, but I will lolol It aint me but I will do it hahaha
The reason there is a +12.25 in there, is because it took me from +12 to +12.25 to get some blood that I knew would give a for sure correct reading - as in - that was all done in one sitting and I saw my watch at the time I did the last one, when I got me some blood I approved of lolol
And the reason it took 15 minutes in that sitting is because -
Mouzer has chosen to live on the bottom shelf to the coffee table, on a blanket. The table is against the wall, under the living room window. The cat tree sits in front of the table. I have to pull the cat tree out, get down on my knees, pull Mouzer to me, get me that ear, warm it up, stick the strip into the monitor, stick that ear, which this morning, was not giving it up lolol but I tested what it gave.
When the numbers were not as usual, I needed to try to get that blood puddle bubble up, so I could know I had the right amount of blood. As was, the blood was as if a skint ear and the instuctions say not to touch the skin and the strip kept touching the skin. I had to get blood enough, not to touch the skin lolol
There were five test done - one strip didnt even work at all. After each test, Mouzer has gone back to his blankie, so each new test, I have to pull him to me and get him situated again hahaha
Then, when finally totally finished, I had to fix Mouzer's blankie, put him back in his comfy spot, push the cat tree back in front of him, because he likes the privacy, get my stiffened, stuck body up from the floor, out of knee position lol and then put the testing stuff and cloth and such, all away, not to be dug out again, until...
So, there you have it lolol old lady tryin to move stuff around and be on her knees with a kitty lololol
I aint in my 80's but I aint any young spring chicken any more either
EDIT: I did the +2 even though Mouzer wouldnt eat until +1. Mouzer is not wanting to give blood very well. Just blood barely thin on the ear, as if a scrape, and that has given incorrect readings in past, so I am having to fuss with getting a bubble of blood, so I can be sure.
I will go with the +2 reading and wait for pmbg for another test
First Post of the AM:
Mouzer wouldnt eat until +1 - Should I do a re-tst at +2? Or should I wait until +3, due to food eaten late? Or being as food did not seem to do much for Mouzer, in the way of raising bg and seems to have played a role in lowering bg, should I just do the re-tst at +2?
If I do not get a response in time, I will do a +2, come back to report that, and depending on what that test shows, make a decision on +3.
The reason those extra test were done is because I had a hard time getting blood and I know this messes up the reading, so I had to be sure.
That is my plan, in case I have to go by my own instincts with this
I have to run into town today, so I called my cousin to run over and check the kitties at mom's place and she did that before she went to work. I will wait to get the test in for Mouzer, before I plan to run into town. Running into town sucks in this county lol That is why I do not go to stores. I dont deal well with bumper to bumper traffic and what should take me 20 minutes drive time to turn into double the time or longer and even longer if some bozo gets in an accident or if some bozo hits me lolol then that would take much longer.
My jeep broke down on my way home one time, right at a red light with bumper to bumper traffic, and those nutjobs didnt change lanes until they were right at me and they were all honking their horns, as if I could get out of the road! I was in the left lane and no where to push vehicle, even with help. I called roadside but they were to be three hours. I called the Sheriff to come sit with me and he sat behind my vehicle. I was crying when I told dispatch - these people out here are going to run me over and kill me!
I was shaking like a leaf on a windy day!!
