Is there any known relationship between how high BG's are and the occurence of neuropathy? Is Jasper's mom still a member here?

    Thanks,

There could be a correlation between the severity of the neuropathy and the BG levels. I am speculating and don't have any data to back it up. What I do know is that a side effect of the diabetes is neuropathy and several cats here have or had a neuropathy. It seems to improve as the cat becomes regulated and once in remission it seems to reverse itself.

High BGs do cause neuropathy. THat is why one symptom of diabetes in felines is neuropathy.
