Do you get your kitties distemper shots after a few years old still?

This is a controversial topic with vets. My vet years ago started giving vaccines every 3 years and never to sick cats. He stopped at 10 years. My new girls are a year so I’ll find out his new philosophy when it’s been a year since their kitten vaccines. I’m on the fence as to whether I will give a booster. I’m inclined to stop after that. I might feel differently if they weren’t always indoors.

I always get rabies and the combo FVRCP vaccines. After initial shots they get them every three years. I am always bringing new cats/fosters in my household and that is why I get the FVRCP. Rabies is required by law.

Rabies is not required where I live. What type of exposure your cats get should determine the need if I took in fosters like Larry my answer would be different and I agree with him.
