I'm pretty nervous about leaving Gremlin today to go to work. I'll come home in my lunch break to check on him though. Good thing I live close by! I have just enough time to get home, test and feed him, and get back to work. But, still... nervous...

Here's Grem enjoying the heater on this cold morning. Appropriate for the first day of winter! See how open his pupils are? Poor kitty can't see much these days. Unfortunately his eyes were too far gone for the medication to help. He manages though!

I had two cats go blind, and they were both happy. The behavior of one cat made me think she thought it was dark. She would try to sneak into the trash can, which she only did when it was dark. I don't think they understand anything is wrong with them, so it doesn't upset them like it upsets us.

I think it's great that you live close enough to work to check on him.

Grem is definitely not upset with his lack of sight! More his mobility changes (front leg amputation last November) and not being allowed outside anymore :joyful: He's almost 18 so losing a front leg has had its challenges.

I'm very blessed to be able to check on him on work days! It uses my whole break but he's worth the sacrifice.
