Good afternoon/evening to all. I was not able to write here for a long time because i was away from home and Raffy. (I was at Albania) His BG was under control with 38U, he was sufing between 100-200s. Last month my wife took him to our new Vet beacuse of his walking difficulties, especially when he was going up and down from stairs. After all inspections, Vet diagnose calcification at rear legs and neck, so he has decided to put golden implants. Just after that operation (5-10 days) BG level started to decrease in a high rate. We have seen 20-30s. As a result of this we ve started to decrease the dose and right now we are on 34 but he is still surfing between 50-70s. So do u think , is it a result of implants or ....?
Hi Gurkan, good to hear from you again. I am glad Raffy is OK. I was a bit worried when I saw his spreadsheet stopped in June. If you want any dosing suggestions, it would be good to start recording the data again. You don't need to worry about entering all the data from June to now. Sounds like Raffy is getting bony growths common to acromegal and the excess growth hormone. Neko had that too. It's like a bad case of arthritis. I have never heard of gold implants being used for that. Pain or inflammation can raise the blood sugar. Maybe if that has been addressed, he needs a bit less insulin.
Hi Gurkan, so glad you posted once again we were getting worried about you and Raffy. Glad to see he is doing well (ish). Titan is hanging in there but the tumor is gaining some ground on him, weight loss, appy is poor but his insulin dose has been steady. Peace to you all over there in Turkey.
Dear Ed nice to see you again. Thing are going good for Raffy, but we are so tired because of his cryings for food The tumor which Titan has; is it a new issue ?
